How dare anyone insult the U.S.’ leader like that?
I still think Putin pissed Hillary and Obama off when they had their great big “reset” meeting and Putin wouldn’t go along with it so they decided to show Putin who’s boss and get Ukraine into NATO.
Then when Putin played hardball and invaded Hillary and Obama played it safe and let him have it, lest they start a war in an election year. Likely the plan was that once Hillary was in office she’d send in the troops to show how she was such a powerful leader.
The whole thing has been mismanaged from the start. If we really DID care about Putin’s invasion given all the rhetoric we should’ve had boots on the ground in the beginning rather than feed Zelensky traditional ammo and withhold the big guns because the USSR has more able bodied men for soldiers vs Ukraine. It was just a matter of time that Ukraine wuold succumb to attrition and losses that they couldn’t recharge.
the USSR?
It is because of flawed US leadership that he had to do what he did.
“read my lips, no new taxes”
Shoud we keep the conflict going in your opinion?
That is what has resulted in the evolving statements, and is the result of statements that were said in earnest at the time, but later evolved.
The final result just might see Russia invading far deeper into Europe. Not something that Russia wants to do at this point in time, but keep pushibg the envelope, and they may decide that they have no other option. As was the case with the evolving statements you presented here in this post.
This could have easily been avoided by removing the offer of Ukraine membership into NATO.
You brilliant strategists, still refuse to admit that starting this conflict was a major mistake that could have, and should have, been defused before it got started, but that wasn't the plan from the onset. It was to goad Russia into invading. But the drum march towards making Uraine a NATO member only increased in intensity as the time marched on.
Russia was faced with the decision as the push accelerated for NATO expansion into Ukraine, and decided that he no longer had the opportunity to seek a peaceful resolution, unless they did invade, which is exactly what was wanted, because then they could convince us that Russia invaded Ukraine without provocation. Even that act failed to bring the response they had hoped for all along, sincere talks to bring about a peaceful resolution.
I’d take Vlad over Herbert any day.
How about US leaders “evolved” position wrt Russian interests:
“Not one inch further East”
“We support the Minsk Process”
“The United States has no strategy of regime change for Russia,”
Reality, Russian Bot: Ukraine is not in NATO!!! And it can’t enter during a time of war! Russia does not have more men than Ukraine or they would not have to get troops from N Korea, India, South Africa, and recall 200,000 Reservists who Ukraine will be taking 1,000 a day off the battle field just like the Original soldiers who invaded Ukraine.
None of the Russian Soldiers who invaded Ukraine in 2022 are no longer there.
Besides, Ukraine Drones are just as good as combat soldiers. How many fineries has Russia lost in the last 2 months?
Now do one where you show all the times the U.S. and west in general have changed their statements on all sorts of things including how NATO would not expand to the very doorstep of Russia, how Ukraine would honor the Minske agreement, etc….
Things changed from before and after the CIA coup in Ukraine.
“I still think Putin pissed Hillary and Obama off when they had their great big “reset” meeting and Putin wouldn’t go along with it so they decided to show Putin who’s boss and get Ukraine into NATO.”

The only one who has pushed European nations into NATO recently is... Putin.
Sweden and Finland were the most anti-NATO countries in Europe. But after Putin’s terrorist attacks in Ukraine and Russia bringing in Communist North Korean Troops to kill Europeans in Europe, well... Sweden and Finland then knocked on NATO’s door and they were finally accepted... even though socialist Orban of Hungary (the biggest grifter of the EU based on the massive EU subsidies he gets to keep his country afloat) and Islamist Turkey opposed it in the beginning. These two countries obstructed the expansion of NATO because of their ties to Russia.
America never pushed for the expansion of NATO. It’s the smaller European nations that demanded to join. They didn’t want to be invaded by Russia AGAIN!
Comprehensible, right?
Without Putin, Sweden and Finland wouldn’t be in NATO today.
Pure facts.
Putin pushes nations into NATO, America doesn’t.
Sweden, Finland were fine being “non-Aligned” in the era of the USSR.
It is a Christian Russia they fear... Hey wait a minute...?
I’m hoping globalist, neo-marxist governments in the EU collapse. Particularly in the UK.
They are the biggest threat to Western Civilization, and the United States, that exists.
Maybe losing badly in Ukraine will help spur that revolution.
Maybe you should up your reading comprehension ZelenskyBot.
I never said Ukraine was in NATO.
“None of the Russian Soldiers who invaded Ukraine in 2022 are no longer there.” It’s ‘None of the Russian Soldiers who invaded Ukraine in 2002 are there’ and you’re wrong as Russia continues to take territory from Ukraine like Kupiansk last week.
And you’re proving my point - Russia can AND is continuing to replenish its army. What other nation is sending armed forces to replenish Ukraines’ Russia has drones, too.
“America never pushed for the expansion of NATO.”
Yes, we did. It wasn’t a formal petition because Russia, pre-Putin, had asked for it as a condition of leaving Ukraine alone in return for the US to take Ukraine’s nuclear arsenal. But there’s been steady pressure to make it SEEM like Ukraine wanted to enter NATO of its own volition but that’s a delicate political issue internally in Ukraine because, indeed, opinion is very divided as some Ukrainians, closer to Russia, were more sympathetic to Russia than the western nations.
Like I said, none of this was an issue until 2008 when Obama and Hillary made their big press trip to “reset” Russian relations and start a new alliance with them. Talks failed and Obama went icy with Putin for the rest of his term. (I suspect that the press trip wasn’t for “America” but internal business/power deals with the DNC and Putin wasn’t buying). It was after that meeting that the US started increasing ties and business deals with Ukraine... You may have heard of a few...
So in 2010 Ukraine holds elections and elects a pro-Russian President, who started shifting Ukraine closer to Russian ties and away from the US. There were reports, here in the US, that Putin had rigged the election, and tensions built.
This all came to a head in 2014 with the Ukrainian Revolution which led to an overthrow of the government and replaced with a pro-western one. This fired up a series of pro-Russian protests in south eastern Ukraine which Putin then moved in troops to “defend” and they eventually “voted” to be annexed by Russia. That remained the status quo through Trump’s term and then as soon as Biden got into office they started ramping up the pressure on Ukraine again and that led to the invasion.
I’m hoping globalist, neo-marxist governments in the EU collapse. Particularly in the UK.

So you prefer the Kremlin guys huh? Putin has often referred to Stalin in an almost romantic way. Lenin is STILL worshipped in his mummified state in the center of Moscow. Kremlin is aligned to Communist North Korea and has brought in North Korean troops to fight and kill Europeans. Putin recently made nuclear technology pacts with Communist North Korean, Islamist IRAN, Communist Belarus, and Communist China. Russia also made military collaboration deals, very recently, with Socialist Venezuela and Socialist Nicaragua. Let all that sink in, in your “88” thinking mind...
So you see for your self... the Globo Islamo NeoSoviet Commie Alliance is managed byyyyy.... Russia !
You complain about communist Marx? Good! Then ALSO complain about Russia’ss hardcore Islamo-Communist friends, and Russia’ss Soviet pro communist Stalin behavior, action and mentality. Try to stay logical my Friend.
Yes, it is a provocation to defend against a Russian invasion. And by the way, Ukraine was never invited to join NATO.
That is what prompted Putin to declare, in 2008, that NATO expansion into Ukraine or Georgia would be construed as redlines that they would not tolerate.
In fact, that was the main concession Russia was seeking from Ukraine. To declare themselves a neutral nation, and a promise to not join NATO.
So, don't be cute with the statement that they were never offered membership into NATO. It was the threat of Ukraine NATO membership that caused the tension in the first place. It was threatened, because they wanted to present Putin with the belief that serious negotiations were being considered for Ukraine to join NATO. Faced with that threat, it left Putin 2 options, invade or capitulate by not standing firm on the proclamation that Ukraine & Gergia would be construed as redlines. Because they were not going to get peace no mater which option they chose. Putin chose to invade thinking that surely they would want to sincerely work towards defusing the situation. But that was not what he got was it. The pllan was to have Putin invaded just as I said in my initial post.
If I threatened you & perhaps another loved one of yours with a gun on the street, would you assume my threat was BS, or would you draw your weapon if you carry, to get me before I got you?
It's the same thing. Perception is what you have to work with, because you have no clue what will happen.
