A senior House Republican predicts that more "explosive early resignations are coming" after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-Ga.) surprise announcement that she would leave Congress in January.
Several GOP House members privately told Punchbowl News that they were also considering retiring before their terms end, after Greene's Nov. 21 announcement.
It’s unknown which Republicans are currently pondering resignation, but a feeling that legislators' needs are being neglected by party leadership and an inability to pass legislation has led some to consider quitting, as they expect the GOP to lose its already slim majority in Congress.
The anonymous GOP lawmaker said that morale amongst the Republican caucus in the House has "never been lower" and called the present situation a "tinder box."
He also predicted that House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) could lose his leadership position before the end of the term due to growing internal tensions in the ranks and said that many blame him and the White House personally.
“This entire White House team has treated ALL members like garbage. ALL. And Mike Johnson has let it happen because he wanted it to happen," the House Republican told Punchbowl News. "That is the sentiment of nearly all — appropriators, authorizers, hawks, doves, rank and file. The arrogance of this White House team is off putting to members who are run roughshod and threatened."
"They don’t even allow little wins like announcing small grants or even responding from agencies. Not even the high profile, the regular rank and file random members are more upset than ever. Members know they are going into the minority after the midterms," continued the legislator.

Recall the massive number of Republican retirements in 2017 led by rat faced Paul Ryan? That led to the 2018 midterm debacle and empowered pecker puss Pelosi’s anti Trump vendetta and fake impeachments. We’ve seen this movie before. Democrats plant RINOs to stab Trump in the back at the most inopportune moment. Diabolical.

For crying out loud THEY are the source of morale. They are the fountainhead of leadership. They have every tweet and burp broadcast to the whole country. It is THEY to whom the electorate turns for morale-boosting news. This is not an eighth-grade field trip to Washington so they can see the monuments! They were elected because the US, and hence the entire world, is at the absolute end of its rope!
If we fall now as the Communists plot their desperate end game, after we have been blessed with a brave, combatant, King David-type POTUS who is truly one in a billion, and they don't see how the US is SO CLOSE to dissolving at this point, then they are simply too stupid and ignorant to hold public office.
If they can't stand tall at this point in their careers as patriot/legislators, then they are truly pathetic losers who never should have campaigned for their election to Congress.
If they sabotage this movement, our last chance at preventing a 120 years-long Communist infiltration and takeover of the US, then it would seem they planned to do this all along.
This started with the steal of those California congressional House seats. That got the Democrats withing striking distance of overturning control.
Honestly, paying $100 million into a numbered bank account for each of 5 resignations is chump change when one considers the power of the purse shifts to Democrats and all of the investigations into their corruption stops. We know they are eager to start up their Star Chamber congressional committee show trials again.
And you know the first order of business will be another impeachment.

I voted for the guy and support many of his initiatives but believe his ego and big mouth are going to end up wiping out all his accomplishments and plunge us back into Democrat Hell. Sadly, I don’t see him or his adoring fans facing up to reality in time to salvage 2026.
