Joe Biden Spied on Pro-Life Congressman Jim Jordan’s Phone for Two Years
Life News ^ | November 21, 2025 | Steven Ertelt

Posted on 11/24/2025 1:39:03 AM PST by Morgana

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, a staunch pro-life advocate known for leading investigations into the Biden administration’s aggressive imprisonment of peaceful pro-life advocates, revealed Thursday that former President Joe Biden’s Justice Department secretly subpoenaed his phone records over a 28-month period.

The subpoena, part of the Justice Department’s Arctic Frost investigation, targeted Jordan’s “call detail records” from Verizon, covering calls, text messages, voicemails and location data dating back to January 1, 2020.

The federal grand jury request was issued on April 25, 2022, and was accompanied by a nondisclosure order signed by Magistrate Judge David A. Baker that barred Verizon from informing Jordan, citing risks of “flight from prosecution, destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses, and serious jeopardy to the investigation.”

Jordan, an Ohio Republican who has spearheaded congressional probes into the Biden administration’s targeting of peaceful pro-life Americans, called the action a blatant example of government overreach.

“They spied on President Trump. They spied on Senators. Now, we just learned, they spied on me,” Jordan said in a statement.

He described the subpoena as “ridiculous” and the “epitome of weaponization of government.”

The records obtained did not include the contents of Jordan’s calls or messages but provided extensive metadata, including “who I call, who called me, when we called each other, when the call took place, how long the call was and where I was at when I made that call — they got location as well,” Jordan said.

“All the way back to January of 2020, they gathered information … and they gathered that over a time period of 28 months. This is how ridiculous this is and why we are doing everything to get to the bottom of it,” Jordan added. “If they can do it to us, they can do it to you.”

The disclosure comes amid broader Republican accusations that the Biden-era Justice Department, under Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team, has systematically targeted GOP lawmakers probing the administration’s policies, including its improper enforcement of the FACE Act against pro-life groups.

It’s absolutely disgusting that those in charge of providing justice and peace and protecting law abiding citizens are some of the worse law breaking offenders.

The word "disgusting" is an emotional response, which implies shock or visceral surprise.

What we are seeing is the Democrats' attempt to overthrow the country and replace our republic with a authoritarian government controlled by them.

Why would we be shocked at that?

Joe Biden using govt power to engage in illegal surveillance, “spying” on Republicans, means he could face severe penalties, including fines and long prison sentences, as it would likely violate federal and state privacy and anti-espionage laws.

Legal Penalties for Illegal Spying
Federal Privacy Laws: Federal laws like the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) make it a crime to access someone’s private electronic communications without permission. This includes accessing cell phones, emails, and social media accounts.

Espionage Act: If the information gathered pertains to national defense or national security, or involves classified information, you could be charged under the Espionage Act, which carries significant penalties, including potential life imprisonment or even the death penalty in some cases.

Invasion of Privacy Lawsuits: Besides criminal charges, individuals whose privacy has been invaded can file civil lawsuits against you to seek damages.

State Laws:
Biden could also face charges under various state laws related to surveillance, privacy, and harassment.

Context of Recent Events
Recent news has focused on the FBI’s use of subpoenas to obtain phone records (metadata) of several Republican senators as part of an investigation into the 2020 election.

This was Biden’s government action using legal investigative tools, not a private individual engaging in illegal spying.

A recent provision in a government funding bill, which was later clarified to direct all funds to the U.S. Treasury, would have allowed those senators to sue the government for up to $500,000 in damages for each violation if their data was acquired without proper notice to their offices.
In short, engaging in unauthorized surveillance on any person, regardless of their political affiliation, is illegal and carries significant legal risks and penalties.

According to Webster: disgust - “causing a strong feeling of dislike”. No mention of “shock” or “surprise”. And I am neither, shocked or surprised, just continually disgusted with at least half of our government. Am I emotional about it? Damn right.

Jack Smith and Mag. Judge Baker need to be investigated for their social connections; investments; financial and other supports.

Apparently, it’s even worse than “bad enough”. There doesn’t seem to be a bottom to how low they can go.

I didn't mean to pick on you. I understand why you are disgusted. That's the natural reaction.

My comment was actually just my thinking to myself that we need to respond to this enemy strategically, not emotionally.

We are in a cold (so far) civil war and it's only natural that our enemy is going to do exactly what the Democrats are doing.
