Joe Biden using govt power to engage in illegal surveillance, “spying” on Republicans, means he could face severe penalties, including fines and long prison sentences, as it would likely violate federal and state privacy and anti-espionage laws.

Legal Penalties for Illegal Spying
Federal Privacy Laws: Federal laws like the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) make it a crime to access someone’s private electronic communications without permission. This includes accessing cell phones, emails, and social media accounts.

Espionage Act: If the information gathered pertains to national defense or national security, or involves classified information, you could be charged under the Espionage Act, which carries significant penalties, including potential life imprisonment or even the death penalty in some cases.

Invasion of Privacy Lawsuits: Besides criminal charges, individuals whose privacy has been invaded can file civil lawsuits against you to seek damages.

State Laws:
Biden could also face charges under various state laws related to surveillance, privacy, and harassment.

Context of Recent Events
Recent news has focused on the FBI’s use of subpoenas to obtain phone records (metadata) of several Republican senators as part of an investigation into the 2020 election.

This was Biden’s government action using legal investigative tools, not a private individual engaging in illegal spying.

A recent provision in a government funding bill, which was later clarified to direct all funds to the U.S. Treasury, would have allowed those senators to sue the government for up to $500,000 in damages for each violation if their data was acquired without proper notice to their offices.
In short, engaging in unauthorized surveillance on any person, regardless of their political affiliation, is illegal and carries significant legal risks and penalties.

Only problem is Joe Biden is so far gone he would probably think prison was a beach in Maryland. Got to go after who was really running the government for at least his last two years in office, and who was using the “autopen”.
