According to Webster: disgust - “causing a strong feeling of dislike”. No mention of “shock” or “surprise”. And I am neither, shocked or surprised, just continually disgusted with at least half of our government. Am I emotional about it? Damn right.

I didn't mean to pick on you. I understand why you are disgusted. That's the natural reaction.
My comment was actually just my thinking to myself that we need to respond to this enemy strategically, not emotionally.
We are in a cold (so far) civil war and it's only natural that our enemy is going to do exactly what the Democrats are doing.
