I got busted for the same thing when I was in college over 30 years ago. What can I say? My only excuse is that was about the dumbest thing I did at that age so all in all, not too bad.
I hired a lawyer, pled nolo contendere and paid a fine and the state dropped the misdemeanor charge.
and yes I know it was dumb and I was lucky I didn’t kill myself or others.
