As climate change threatens our planet, AP climate choices reporter Caleigh Wells is explaining what readers can do. Here’s what she said:
Climate change stories can be devastating — frustrating policy fights, environmental destruction, public health disasters — and my fellow AP climate reporters are great at telling them.
That’s not my job.
I cover “climate choices.” I tell readers how their actions impact the planet. It’s important for two reasons: First, if we’re going to tackle this big existential climate threat, we have to know how, and 2) climate news sparks dread and anxiety. And the best antidotes I’ve found are accessible solutions that empower readers to participate.
For years, I told those stories from my hometown, Los Angeles. But the thing is, I’m hearing stories mostly reported from the coasts. The Midwesterners and Great Lakes region dwellers deserve to hear themselves in stories, too. So this year, I walked the walk, moved to Cleveland, and started writing about climate choices that I hoped would resonate with them.
I’m out here walking the walk, right? I’m not looking for the best example of climate-friendly living. I want an example of a typical, single-family Cleveland home in an old neighborhood. Something imperfect, and relatable and average. So, I wrote about my house. I’ve since installed insulation and a car charger. I’ve turned the thermostat down and I’m saving up for solar panels. It’s not perfect. But it’s a start.
That’s what the climate choices beat is all about: efforts by imperfect people with imperfect resources in imperfect circumstances. And what better proof of that endeavor than to show readers that I’m learning right along with them?

Guess the AP didn’t get the memo, that only the mentally ill believe this happy horse sht anymore...
I remember when AP used to do news.
Well. At least they admit that for them, the latter is indispensable to the former.
...virtue signaling, nothing more....”Ohhhhh, look at me....! I’m saving the planet by installing way, way expensive solar panels and a home charger for my over-priced electric vehicle....! Hooray for me....!!”....
He moved to Cleveland from Los Angeles. I suspect that his fear of global warming is going to change very quickly...
No proof of any of this HHS.
LOL. Uh, OK. Nice to know.
...She....
An Inconvenient Truth: Climate Changes, it always has, and in my opinion mans input into the process is but a drop in the bucket.
“Climate change stories can be devastating — frustrating policy fights, environmental destruction, public health disasters — and my fellow AP climate reporters are great at telling them.
That’s not my job. “
She is making a living by lying as part of the dystopian effort to eradicate the human race by banning fossil fuels.
AP and Reuters bias is why our media is so screwed.
They create sh*** and the rest of media is just parroting them.
After killing unborn humans, one of the Left’s main “sacraments” of (these last 50+ years) is Global Warming (Climate Change on cold days). It has been advocated with ever increasing hysterics that have (so far) been unable to convince enough folks to surrender their sacred birthright liberty, their prosperity and submit to be ruled (not governed by consent) in every aspect of their lives by billionaire global wannabe feudal lords.
That the most rich and privileged among us do not seem willing to park their private jets, yachts and abandon their beachfront mansions probably doesn’t help the cause. Causes this important must be lead by example!
This sounds bad, the first thing that needs to be done is to RED TAG and CONDEMN ALL PROPERTY within 1/2 mile of the Coast and ORDER the owners to RAZE their property at their own expense immediately to Save them from deadly rising seas.
Maybe not "eradicate". Maybe just "cut back to pre-industrial levels of both population and civilization". Banning fossil fuels would be a return to unspeakable global misery, along a path that would see unfathomable amounts of worldwide suffering and dying.
Other than that, hey no big deal, do it for Gaia.
[[As climate change threatens our planet]]
Biggest LIE of the century! Climate change does NOT threaten the planet no more now than it did when the ice age ended and miles high thick glaciers covering the wo4ld receded, and frozen wastelands becane fertile cropgrowing locations!
“As climate change threatens our planet, AP ...” - I stopped right there. I don’t have the time to waste on bull-shiite.
Caleigh wells, graduated college in 2017 with a degree in ‘mass communications.’ No scientific background of course.
It’s a she not a he, and she doesn’t live in Cleveland. That was a lie. She lives in toney suburb Chagrin Falls.
“As climate change threatens our planet”
That statement shows how extremely much the AP is not “journalism” or any sort of “unbiased” source of news, for the statement is not a reflection of science as much as it reflects a political view trying to hide behind an unproven and controversial scientific assumption.
