This Is Why No One Trusts 'Experts' Anymore

What would we do without them? Thrive as a nation, probably. Outside of journalism, there is no group of people who have done more to absolutely torch their reputations than the so-called "expert" class. It started before COVID, but the pandemic absolutely exacerbated the problems by elevating people who put their political agenda ahead of facts, logic, and science. The Left called them "experts" and demanded we trust them blindly.

How did that work out for them? Not well. Public mistrust of both the media and experts is at a historic low.

It’s a move that might stink to some parents, but there’s a new-age way to change a newborn’s undies.

Drenched diapers are no longer messes that need to be ripped off a baby’s bottom posthaste, according to new advice by early childhood development researchers in Australia.

Instead, the experts encourage moms and dads to request an infant’s consent — you read that correctly — before changing their diaper.

“At the start of a nappy change, ensure your child knows what is happening,” researchers from Deakin University wrote in a November 2025 guide. “Get down to their level and say, ‘You need a nappy change,’ and then pause so they can take this in.”

But their offbeat directives for cleaning a cutie’s patootie — a task that parents often rush to “just get done,” the researchers said — don’t end there.

“Then you can say, ‘Do you want to walk [or] crawl with me to the [changing] table, or would you like me to carry you?’” said the specialists, seemingly ignoring that newborns can’t yet actually chat up mom or dad one-on-one. “Observe their facial expressions and body language to check if they understand what is happening.”

The experts further noted: “This can be a time to help children learn about consent and how their bodies work.”

Do any of these researchers have children? Because this is not how parenthood works, nor should it work this way. Parents have authority over their children and an obligation to provide for their well-being. Changing a baby's diaper in a timely manner is one of those obligations.

What happens if the child says no to any of these requests? Are parents supposed to let the child sit in his soiled diaper until he decides to change it? Because that's neglect, and no court is going to buy the "my kid didn't consent" argument.

This is little more than anti-family claptrap meant to undermine parental authority and drive a wedge between child and parent.

Then you either leave them with a horrifying case of diaper rash, or do the diaper change anyway and teach them that you'll always tell them what you're doing but you'll prioritize your own judgment over their desires. Which, tbf, is a good lesson for a child to learn, but pretty sure the "experts" didn't even think of it. 🤦‍♀️

This is correct, of course. And no, the "experts" didn't even think of this. Because they're not considering all the outcomes and implications. They have an agenda and are only concerned with what supports that agenda.

Consent has to be a two-way street, and the "experts" didn't think of this, either.

The lame stream media is the reason for the massive loss in trust in the media, in the government.

The ever ready to rush to judgment, the out right deliberate censoring of the truth, memory holing news stories that do not feed their narrative.

The bloods in the water. The lamestream media and press who have built them selves up as the arbiters of truth have because of there own lapses in morals and character have painted huge targets on their backs. Look at the 2019 Lincoln Memorial confrontation, the suits against the view and many many others.

The Harris interview cost the lame strem media plunty and now they do it again!?!?!?!?!?

I will say it again.

We need the FCC to enforce truth and accuracy in reporting, edit as you wish but that editing must be noted and the full text, full video must be available for review. With the internet and cloud storage this is no longer a undo burden and is needed now to stop the wholesale fabrication of news and events.

Corrections or miss statements MUST be given the same amount of play as the WRONG or INCORRECT statements or videos when broadcast the first time, be it 10 minutes, 20 minutes 30 minutes if the media source trumped it MUST be one to one.

If they the media did a 1 hour broadcast that was wrong, incorrect or lies then they must do a second broadcast of 1 hour at the same time slot explaining that they were wrong, incorrect or had lied.

A large banner should be run at the bottom of any video STATING that the SOURCE is unnamed, unverified, if an audio broadcast the statement should be made at the start, at the middle and at the end.

The news media pundits will gnash their collective teeth moaning and groaning and will say this will place a chilling restrain on the freedom of the press. It will not. It will stop them from running head long in to judgment that has elevated numinous numbers of fake stories, staged a hate crimes and out right character assignations accusations that have ruined many innocent lives. They will be forced to fact check diligently because they will be held monetarily and criminally libel for miss-reporting the facts.

Truth in reporting will offer up a shield to the small groups, to individuals, people who have had their lives, liberty’s, property, impacted by incorrect reporting without due process of law. Words and actions have consequences.

If any of this is not done then the FCC should fine and or remove and or suspend broadcast licenses. Keep pushing wrong, incorrect or lies in news stories and have your broadcast rights removed.

We have truth in advertising laws, why no accuracy in reporting laws? There has always been yellow journalism that is based upon sensationalism and crude exaggeration. But with the advent of the internet there is almost no ability to get out in front of even boldfaced lies that are pushed today over and over.

There should be no editing or exerting with out posting the entire text or video or audio on line and if there is no confirmation and the source in unknown or not named. That should be flashed at the beginning and end of that report. If a photo is cropped the original should be also available for review.

For to long the public has been denied the full information, the full story and unfortunately as it has been shown time and time again. The news media’s take on events can no longer be taken at face value because of paid, yes paid partisan behavior and down right bias.

The news media once would state the facts with no taint of partisanship and now all we get is paid partisanship and fascist like bias. News media sources have become extended commercials of talking heads spewing single twisted points of view shouting down all others in a head long rush to try and brain wash the masses.

All you have to do is listen and you will see that they (The news conglomerates, the multi national media empires) no longer are in it for the truth but have become corrupt with power, influence and money.

It’s time to rein them in. If this is not done and done soon the blood in the water will not be a metaphor anymore but a reality. Call someone a radical, a racist, say they are supremacists and other vile erroneous lies you will eventually breed the same thing you rant about. And whoa on to you, when that comes home to roost, heads will not just turn, tongues will not just wag. A real and deadly reckoning will take place and there will be blood.
