After a record-breaking 41-day stalemate in the U.S. Senate, lawmakers have finally gathered the votes to move forward with a continuing resolution. Congress is now making preparations to switch over from doing nothing because of the shutdown to their usual job of doing nothing simply because they’re Congress.
