The body of a Florida high school cheerleader was reportedly found by a maid wrapped in a blanket after the body had been stuffed under a bed on a Carnival cruise ship. There have been very few details released surrounding the 18-year-old's death.
Anna Kepner was traveling with her family on a 6-day getaway cruise when she was declared deceased between Mexico and Florida. When the cruise ship docked in Miami, FBI agents swarmed the cruise ship, according to the Daily Mail. It has not been disclosed how she died. The outlet reported that sources said she was not feeling well on November 6 and went back to her cabin after eating her dinner.
When her father, Christopher Kepner, got everyone ready for breakfast the next day, however, there was no sign of the 18-year-old. The 41-year-old dad and 36-year-old stepmom, Shauntel Hudson, were able to find all their other children.
As the family searched for the teen, eventually a maid discovered Anna's body at around 11 am on November 7. Two sources that spoke to the outlet said that Anna was found wrapped in a blanket and covered with life jackets underneath a bed.
The father said in an interview that authorities barely shared any details about his daughter's death. "We were there as a family. Everybody was questioned. Everybody came off that ship. I don't know who they are looking at or what their investigation is," he said. "I have no idea what is going on right now. We are just trying to sit still and wait for answers."
The Miami-Dade medical examiner marked Anna's death as taking place around 11:17 am, but without any specification on how it took place. Since the death took place midway between Cozumel and Miami, the investigation was not under the jurisdiction of local police, so the FBI had to step in.
Anna was set to graduate in May and also had plans to join the armed forces. She had been a gymnast and a varsity cheerleader during her time at Temple Christian School in Titusville, Florida. Anna's father said that her ultimate goal was to join the local police force.
"Anna was an 18-year-old, beautiful young girl; she had a whole life ahead of her," he told reporters. "She was graduating in May and then she was going to go off into the military to be master of arms and after a few years come back to her small town to be in a canine unit with the Titusville Police Department."
"She spent so much time giving to others if it wasn't just going to a friend's house or a family member's house and noticing that there was dishes in the sink she was the kind of girl that would do the dishes and not ask for anything. She was full of life and loved by everyone in this community. She was special to so many people. The whole family is lost for words. We miss her and love her more than anything," her father added in a statement.

and she hid herself under a bed so as to not disrupt anyone’s trip enjoyment
Been following this story on YouTube. It wasn’t clear until now that this young girl was on the cruise with her family.
We now know it is confirmed a murder.

There’s barely enough room on top of a cruise ship bed let alone underneath one.
One would think that there would be security cameras all over those big cruise ships. Who else entered/exited the cabin where this unfortunate young woman’s body was found? This can’t be that hard.

Makes one wonder...where were ALL the other children? Where did they have to go to ‘find’ them?
Did the 18 year old have her own private stateroom, or was she sharing with some of the other children?
A lot of details needed to investigate this one.
The cameras are everywhere. And they see everything. Until, of course, something happens that they aren’t supposed to see. Then they don’t work.
My guess is a crew member......and it wouldn’t be the first time either.
There was something like 500 serous assaults on cruise ships in recent times. Many raped etc. a few even involving staff.
Seems like a 60 minutes or something did a special on how hush hush it’s kept.

That depends on the cabin.
Last Carnival I was on my cabin had enough room for a proper king bed, a couch, chair and a coffee table.
The bathroom had 2 sinks and a jet tub.
I doubt she had all that, but my point is cabin sizes vary greatly.
Most of the crew is from 3rd world where women are 3rd class.
Do you think the cruise lines want to take responsibility for it?

The NY Post article said her bed. That doesn’t make sense that family didn’t search cabin?
I hope they swabbed everyone for DNA before they departed the ship, crew included.
