OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY/Gray News) - Wisconsin authorities say four people are facing charges in connection with a child neglect case involving a malnourished teen girl.
According to court documents, a 14-year-old girl, weighing only 35 pounds, was removed from her father’s home in the town of Oneida and brought to a hospital in August.
Her father, stepmother, and two other adults who lived in the home are facing or are expected to face criminal charges in Outagamie County stemming from the investigation, Oneida police said
Walter Goodman III has been identified as the girl’s father. His charges include chronic neglect of a child, with the consequence being great bodily harm and emotional damage.
Oneida police said Wednesday that Melissa Goodman, Walter Goodman’s wife, and the girl’s stepsister, Savanna LeFever, are among the four who are in police custody.
Authorities said the investigation began when Walter Goodman called 911 on Aug. 21 to report that his daughter was seriously ill and severely underweight.
He also noted that she was lethargic, moaning and breathing abnormally, police said.
According to the criminal complaint, he said she hadn’t eaten much for days and mentioned her self-harming behaviors and autism.
When first responders arrived at the home, they noted the girl looked like the size of a 6- to 8-year-old child.
When the teen was examined at St. Vincent Hospital, doctors said the teen weighed 35 pounds, had a large bruise on her forehead, low blood sugar, was hypothermic and had pressure sores, investigators said.
She was intubated and airlifted to Children’s Wisconsin.
Goodman admitted to giving his daughter a soda for her low blood sugar, the complaint said.
At Children’s Wisconsin, the criminal complaint noted the girl was diagnosed with severe malnutrition and multiorgan dysfunction.

I hope that is a typo and pray for this girl. They say that she looked more like a 6 year old than 14. A quick search shows that an average weight for a 6 year old is 45 pounds.
How can some people be so evil?
You can thank our fallen nature for that.
And yes they look exactly like you would expect them to.
Not one of them ever missed a meal.
I would kill them by rope from a tree, slow strangulation.
Perhaps. Although this type of cruelty would almost seem to be demon possession.
My firstborn weighed 35 lbs. at just 1 year old.
Someone pick a tree. I’ll get the rope.
