North Carolina is one of the few states that allows jilted spouses to sue someone for interfering in their marriage.>
A North Carolina woman will have to pay $1.75 million after a jury found her liable for destroying a Durham couple's marriage.
The lawsuit filed in Durham County Court accused Brenay Kennard - an influencer with nearly 3 million followers on TikTok and 274,000 followers on Instagram - of seducing and having an affair with her manager, Tim Montague.
"She has received justice from losing her husband and the father of her children," said Robonetta Jones, who was the attorney for Akira Montague, Tim Montague's ex wife.
The jury found Kennard liable for criminal conversation and alienation of affection, WRAL reported.
North Carolina's alienation of affection law allows a spouse to sue the person they blame for an affair that ends a marriage. North Carolina is one of the few states that allows jilted spouses to sue someone for interfering in their marriage.

Why would they be unhappy about it?
I am completely in favor of the use of this law.
Robonetta Jones??
Me too. It’s kind of the Marital version of FAFO.

Now with Brenay:
Brenay at the top of the article:
I think it’s pretty funny. Shame they can’t find a way to make the former husband cover some of the cost.
You want to screw around on your spouse? Don’t live in NC.
The fact that the woman is a Tik Tok “influencer” makes it even funnier to me.
“Once you go fat, thaT’s WHERE YOU’RE AT”!
Not a single “ influencer “ has ever influenced me to do anything.
It’s some kind of narcissistic “ I have a camera and broadband so now I’m a star!” weird thing.
I’m very happy with this, and think that it should be the law in every state. Actions have consequences. Just as normal guys know (or at least should know) don’t mess with jailbait, women who deliberately and knowingly mess with a marriage should bear the consequences of their actions. Destroying a marriage by knowingly seducing a married individual, even if that individual contributes, should carry consequences.
I think it is a brilliant idea for the jilted spouse to be able to sue the person who seduces the other spouse.
Talk about discouraging affairs; that will do it.
The wife already gets at least half, usually more.
So suing the other person is brilliant.
So called "influencers" cause me to do the opposite. Based on a sample size of thousands since 2015, all I have seen from so-called influencers is a class of narcissistic low-lifes who want power over actual providers based on their ability to communicate with a bunch of people who will never visit / use the service anyway. So-called influencers are a cancer, and they should be liable for damages caused by their fake "impressions" and "reviews".
My God what an ugly mutant this “Tik-Tok” influencer (LOL) is! Something went awry when her DNA chain was forming...
I do not get this.
Is that bottom picture quintuplets?
Why is that dude hugging a steaming pile of excrement?
So am I.
So am I.
Personally, I think “Brenay” could do with a lot less feeding.
