Not a single “ influencer “ has ever influenced me to do anything.
It’s some kind of narcissistic “ I have a camera and broadband so now I’m a star!” weird thing.
So called "influencers" cause me to do the opposite. Based on a sample size of thousands since 2015, all I have seen from so-called influencers is a class of narcissistic low-lifes who want power over actual providers based on their ability to communicate with a bunch of people who will never visit / use the service anyway. So-called influencers are a cancer, and they should be liable for damages caused by their fake "impressions" and "reviews".
Nor has, at least in my case, any ad ever tagged onto the end of - or that VERY annoyingly - interrupts a YouTube video I am watching. I click “Skip” within milliseconds of it popping up an make it a point to totally ignore whatever the ad is for, or mentally blacklisting the company as one I will NEVER do business with. (I’m talking you, Liberty Mutual and Doug!)
I realize they sell ads to pay for the free service, but interrupting a video is the wrong way to do it. I’m halfway convinced that YouTube does this purely to piss you off enough that you pay for a subscription to make it stop.
