Judicial Overreach Threatens the Republic

Whatever the Founding Fathers had in mind, they surely did not intend for some Portland judge to usurp the president’s authority as commander in chief.

Should America’s constitutional republic ever fall, the most likely cause of death will be its corrupt institutions. When citizens lose faith in the “system” and have exhausted all available remedies to “fix” that “system,” they will feel wholly disconnected from the government that rules over them. A cascade of institutional crises will exacerbate public distrust in the “system” until the “system’s” legitimacy collapses.

Should that foreboding and chaotic event come, a primary driver will have been the public’s complete loss of faith in the courts of the United States. On this point, Americans across the political spectrum will agree.

Democrats today are so hostile toward conservative members of the Supreme Court that justices have been the targets of assassination attempts and public mobs. Prominent Democrat politicians openly call for a future Democrat president and Congress to pack the Supreme Court with partisan apparatchiks. Democrat lawmakers already describe the conservative-leaning Court as “illegitimate” and a “threat to democracy” -- not-so-subtle rhetorical invitations for violent knuckle-draggers from their own party to “protect democracy” by murdering “illegitimate” justices.

Non-leftists (Republicans, conservatives, constitutionalists, and defenders of personal liberty) have their own serious issues with the federal courts. For decades, Democrats in the Senate have been unscrupulous in their willingness to scuttle judicial nominees from Republican presidents by orchestrating elaborate smear campaigns designed to make confirmations impossible.

Retired justice Anthony Kennedy is out with a new book this month about his thirty-year tenure on the Supreme Court, but the only reason he has a book to sell is because Democrats waged an effective public relations war against the confirmation of highly competent conservative Judge Robert Bork. Because President Reagan’s stellar

These leftist lower court judges need to be arrested for interfering with the Chief Executive Officer.

The Democrats threaten the Republic. Every time norms are broken, its because the Dems want to advance their agenda by any means possible. Now that they have no political power because the Republicans control the White House and Congress, they use their stooges in the courts, who are more than happy to rule based on pure politics. And if they ever take back the White House and Senate, I am sure they will pack the Supreme Court. The Democrats are interested in advancing their agenda by any means possible including violence. The court rulings are just the latest manifestation of that.

The USSC has told these Federal Judges to stay in their own little box.....no Nationwide commands. Some still think they can do it.

How are they supposed to do this withing the borders of the law and the boundaries of a Constitutional Republic?

The margins of majority in the House are razor thin.

How do you propose to do this? The only legitimate way is to impeach these judges. Conservatives do not have the votes to do so.

Win another couple of elections, Get the majority in the House up by 20 votes, and with 60 Republican Senators, and it will start happening.

We have to reverse 90 years of Progressive dominance in both parties. It cannot be done overnight and keep the Republic at the same time.

The Roberts Court should have put an absolute end to this judicial overreach and had the major of justices to do it. It is ridiculous that some unelected federal district judge can override the Constitutional powers of the presidency

Yes, the Supremes paddled the inferior courts, telling them they cannot issue, “I have spoken, let it be writ, let it be done” decrees with national effect, so by law they can be ignored.
Ignore them. The democrats in gowns. That’s the point of the article.
The only power the judicial branch has is the deference and respect of the other two co-equal branches. And most importantly, of the People.
They are—to use a vivid expression.of my sainted granny: s***ting in their own nest.

The Founders were wise to create three co-equal branches of our government. The Judiciary is one of them.
