A Mississippi college student was arrested for allegedly hurling an antisemitic comment at Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy as he filmed a pizza review, according to authorities and reports.
Patrick McClintock, 20, was arrested Monday after a viral video allegedly captured him yelling, “F–k the Jews” toward Portnoy, who is Jewish, as he filmed a “One Bite” pizza review in Starkville on Friday, The Starkville Police Department confirmed to the Reflector, Mississippi State University’s student newspaper. McClintock was a junior and a mechanical engineering major at Mississippi State University, the university’s campus paper reported.
He voluntarily withdrew from MSU as a student on Monday afternoon, a university spokesperson confirmed to The Post.

Uhhh what? Arrested? That’s ridiculous. He’s disgusting and hateful but we have a first amendment in this country. Freedom includes the freedom to show everybody what an A-hole you truly are. NO WAY should he have been arrested or charged with anything.....nor should he have been pressured to withdraw from school. Again, he has the right to express his views however repellent others may find them.
Its a different matter if others choose not to associate with him or a private company chooses not to hire him or to fire him. That’s not government action.
Thank you. THAT makes sense. Words are one thing but throwing things at somebody is either battery or disturbing the peace. OK. That arrest is legitimate in that case. The university taking action against him is legitimate too. What terrible writing in this article. It was throwing things at others that got him arrested, not his words.
Wuss
Same view. Kid needs a punch in the face, not an arrest.
What if he told someone from Liechtenstein, “Eff the Liechtensteinians!”? Would he be arrested?
“Never again” is happening again.
Saying racial insults is a crime? How about when blax call us “crackers” or “honkies?”
Portnoy’s complaint?
I attended Mississippi State University back in the late 70’s.
This nut job does not represent the great School it is.
Ok, it was horrific. He should be expelled, ostracized and all that. But arrested? No.
I once caught the last few minutes of ‘World at War’ as a kid on Channel 9 (WOR) in NYC while waiting for ‘Benny Hill’ to come on. From then on I never missed a WAW thereafter. Compelling and engrossing show.
It is legal to be a vile stupid racist public anti-Semite using your First Amendment rights to demonstrate to all future employers why they shouldn’t hire you.
I don’t respect muslims.
Am I liable for arrest?
So Starkville makes the attempt to maintain civil society on its streets and freepers bitch about it. I can remember when conservatives thought civil order was worth defending. Maybe Portland is more their idea of how a city ought to be run.
Well maybe Dave Portnoy can discuss this with Trump if he gets invited for another personal meeting at the White House like he did in the first term. They seem to get along real well, not many get a half hour to just hang out with the President.
Is disrupting a public event qualifying for Disturbing the peace?
I don’t think it should.
I’m an absolutist for the First Amendment.
Throwing stuff (coins in this case) is Assault.
This Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes Jew hatred shiite is affecting our younger generation
First Amendment Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.Do you support swatting the homes of people as free speech ?
As arguably the strongest Israel supporter on FR, I still support the right of Nazis to march through Skokie.
ANY legal speech may not be infringed. I’m not well versed in “fighting words” or “incitement to violence” exceptions. But “hate” is legal.
For example, I regularly post the following when someone suggests my speech rights are not perfected:
islam is a totalitarian death cult founded by a child rapist.
I’ll resort to my Second Amendment rights to defend my First Amendment rights.
Am Yisrael Chai!

Sounds like the US is on track to follow the UK’s example...
