Math for Socialists
Self ^ | 11/10/2025 | Self

Figured I would do some 'rough' figure Math for any of the NYC Socialists who can read. Feel free to check the article for references above. Population of NYC= 8,478,072 Budget is 188 Billion a year. 1% of NYC accounts for 90% of Tax Revenue for the NYC. Therefore 84,000 people are responsible for 169 Billion of the 188 Billion of Revenue for NYC. Here is the Math for soaking the Rich. If the Rich leave, say 50% to florida or other districts, you lose 50% of 169 Billion of your budget. That's a no go for Police, Fire, Sanitation, Roads, Water, and most 'essential' services. The math says you don't need millions to leave NYC, only about 42,000 people. Those 42k people would 'destroy' the city by taking their Tax Revenue with them. That's not a lot of people 42k out of 8.4 million. This is the math problem with 'soaking the rich'. We can all thank public school education, Woke, and 'math is racist' ideologies for the disturbing math skills of the people that voted to destroy NYC. I promise you, all of the laws for from the 1970's aren't going to save the city from this kind of stupidity. Math says it can't provide essential services, and that's the way it is.

~$22,000/resident/year

I live on a third of that.

Unless you live in prison or a monastery I can't imagine how you could live on $7333 a year. I couldn't live on that amount for a month.

“”””Zohran Mamdani has put forth many bold—and expensive—proposals in his New York City mayoral bid, including childcare for all, government-run grocery stores, and free buses. He’s planning to pay for these proposals with various tax hikes, including a large jump in the city’s corporate tax rate from 7.5 percent to 11.5 percent. He claims this will bring in $5 billion, and says New York City’s economy can “afford to support a stronger public sector.”””””

“are invested”

tied up in shares already

Would you like a margin loan to buy overpriced shares?

That reminds me of Schenectady, NY and GE.

GE wound up tearing down building after building.

“My liberal friends posted a meme a while back, stating that “we” pay the tariffs. My goodness, they recognized how a passthrough tax works!”

Actually, despite what the Media says, no the Consumer really doesn’t ‘pay’ the complete cost of the Tariff. In fact, Tariffs have really important downstream benefits, because they increase the ability for industries here to compete and therefore you get: Payroll Tax, Corporate Tax, Income tax immediate revenue. Then later, you get Retirement taxes and the entire time you have people working generating revenue instead of 80k year cost on Welfare. Plus, all of those workers and production supply other services and industries. It’s a giant Cycle UP instead of down economically. In the long run, we actually will be paying ‘less’ with Tariffs or get much more government revenue and services, for the same price.

This is what we need - a new Margaret Thatcher to articulate the case against Socialism in clear terms. God I miss her.

“government-run grocery stores”

produce in NYC is cheap and readily available

A better idea is to restrict SNAP to cheap & healthy foods & milk and pay benefits daily or weekly.

Socialism only works for the elite in power. It makes everyone else equal in their misery.

Hate to break the news, but this is what the Left wants to happen. “Income equality” happens when everyone is dirt poor, but the Left would feel good about it.

The middle class doesn’t have the money to buy their overpriced stock.

. In your expert opinion, which overpriced stocks are owned by these rich people?

Or are you just making things up to post?

- my undervalued money is on, you just made something up to post.

How soon before Mamdani swallows his pride and appears before Trump with his begging bowl as his policies predictably and spectacularly fail?

A smaller slice of the pie...
Or a bigger pie.
Seems simple...
Yet socialists can’t seem to grasp it.

I like your assessment that income equality means everyone is poor.

If you put 100 random people on a deserted island with each one given enough food to last 100 days and came back in 60 days, you'd find probably over 1/2 of the people starving, with 5-15 of them having extra food, using it as currency over the 50 people starving.

Starving because they ate upall their food and didnt ration it, or traded it away for sex, someone elses clothes, maybe water.

either way, 50% of the people would have sold themselves into slavery to the other 5-10 top people.

People really are stupid, cant save a cent, cant handle money.

mondami has become the top 5% thru lies and 50% of the population is really that dumb.

YOU REALLY CANT FIX STUPID. AND STUPIDITY SPREADS!!
