Because dogs will never call 911 about what you did in their dream last night....And get you arrested in a woke state because you were not the one to call 911.....and threaten to do it again after they were annoyed by the inconvenience and thousands of dollars and months of "the punishment is the process" before the case is dismissed at pretrial hearings due to lack of evidence.... MY DOGS NEVER DID THAT, HOWEVER.....

We had a Lhaso Apso—Male, lived to 19 as far as we know. We got him from my parents when they died. And he was a rescue dog even then. We had Temple Dog for some 9-10 years. What a chill dog. He loved naps and was quite happy with our quiet lifestyle. He could get moody and aloof, but loved either sleeping at the end of the bed (on the bed facing the door always) of had his little sleep area in the closet.
We would keep his hair short because of weeds in the country, but his hair would keep falling over his eyes because he would groom it that way...Despite running into coffee tables, etc...
He loved his walks and sometimes when we were staying in a neighborhood like in Tucson, he would love it...we would pass by a snarling junkyard dog behind a wood fence and Temple Dog would love to just mark his territory on the fence where the dog kept throwing itself over and over...Funny...
After he passed, Wife said never again a pet...although We do have a two headed turtle...they are 20 years old now..
we had an old english sheepdog and durign the winter my sister’s cat had kittens, and they would burrow into the dog’s long fur to stay warm while the mother cat was off hunting- or whatever they do when they leave the house lol

Several years ago I worked for the President of a company who was homosexual. He and his “partner” had dogs, and ALL of their swishy friends who they associated with had their dogs. The poor things were like gay jewelry.
One of the families in our church in the ‘50s owned a jewelry store. They had two huge Persian cats for security, and they had been known to seriously harm potential thieves.
Four of my cats competed for my lap all the time. Only one remains, and she loves me too much - LOL! She’s practically a stalker.
I wish I was as good a person as my dog thinks I am.
