A 12 gallon tank? Was he driving an Italian sports car?
When he has to run the AC or heater in summer and winter, it will cost more.
One of the major differences is no road use taxes are included in the cost of the electricity.
This may make an good test case for determining the cost of maintenance.
Police cars tend to be used pretty hard.
As a side note, ICE will continue to use ICE vehicles.
That’ll change when the EVs overwhelm the electrical grid.
What could possibly go wrong?
The city I worked for bought a bunch of CNG patrol cars. The mileage was so terrible that if they got in a pursuit, they would end up quitting early when it ran out of fuel. I’m imagining that a battery powered car is going to have the same problem.
ALREADY AN ISSUE HERE IN NEVADA
SUDDENLY-—POLITICIANS ARE DISCOVERING EV’S DO NOT PAY ROAD TAXES !!!!!!
Do they have stainless steel bars around passenger section?
And cattle guard bumpers?
That is why the rat states are moving toward mileage fees and as a bonus it will rural voters (not dems) the most
They’ll have their own chargers so no problem there. They will be fast, that will help, especially with supercars and motorcycles. It will be interesting to see how they hold up under police use. I used to hear stories about brake pads being replaced every two weeks for example. Police cruiser tires have short lives too.
They’ll be put to a good test, that’s for sure.
The suspect just needs to keep driving at high speed when being chased until the electric car blows up.
MO has a separate annual tax on 100% electric vehicles.
