A private meeting took place between Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, the revered leader of the “Shuva Israel” institutions, and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
During a personal conversation held on Tuesday, Ye expressed profound remorse for his past statements concerning the Jewish people.
Rabbi Pinto welcomed Ye warmly, offering him words of Torah and inspiration, and praised his desire to draw closer to truth.
“A person is not defined by his mistakes, but by the way he chooses to correct them. This is the true strength of man: The ability to return, to learn, and to build bridges of love and peace,” Rabbi Pinto told Ye.
Ye reportedly came in humility, seeking forgiveness and a new beginning - a path of repentance and love among all people.
“I’m really blessed to be able to sit here with you today and just take accountability,” Ye said. "I was dealing with some various issues, bipolar, also, so it would take the ideas I had and had them, take them to an extreme where I would forget about the protection of the people around me, or myself."
“So it’s like if you left the house and left your kid at the house and your kid went and messed up the kitchen and messed up the garage, mess up the living room. Now, when you get back, it’s your responsibility, because that’s your child,” he added. “And I really just appreciate you embracing me with open arms and allowing me to make amends. And this is beginning in the first steps, and the first brick by brick to build, to build back the strong walls."
The meeting concluded with a shared hope for a future of respect and unity among nations and faiths, grounded in a commitment to truth and peace.

It probably will last ... for at least five minutes!
Then, Kayne will deny ever even speaking to a Rabbi Pinto.
He will say it was actually a Lucid Dream and all of us were in that dream with him.
Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Curiouser and curiouser in Wonderland. Next he’ll be saying that the Jooos! forced him to say that, or he’d be frozen out of the recording industry.
Truth is, bipolar sufferers often decide to turn over a new leaf and do right, and then they crash and burn after one bad night. Personal experience with people close to me. Praying for my daughter.
The availability of redemption is key to avoiding permanent conflict. Let’s give him a chance …
Assuming someone stable can make sure he takes his meds and otherwise keeps his schedule stable, he’ll stay on course for a long while.
But a spin off in inevitable.
True bi-polar is scary stuff. Had a great employee who went bat s—t crazy one day that I thought I was going to have to shoot in the break room. Wife and cops came and dragged him away.
A hundred percent. But I’ve been through this movie before. Hope is often dashed to pieces with bipolars. On the other hand, both Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln managed to change the world in their respective era, despite having untreated “melancholia”. On the other hand, Mohammed was epileptic, and he sure changed the world all right. But not in a good way. But so was Dostoyevski, who became a great writer because of his ailment.
We’ll just have to wait and see how Ye does.
Good luck and God’s Blessings with your daughter’s situation. One of my best friends went through it, probably still is now. My Buddy did not like how the meds made him feel, and would often just refuse to take them.
It effects the whole family, especially if the condition is Adult Onset, just when you thought all the worrying was about over.
Moroccan Sephardic Rabbi. Interesting.
My daughter, I noticed, had something wrong with her in her early teens. It’s very difficult to deal with. You don’t want to know all that she did and went through.
But as my examples show, madness and genius are first cousins, if not siblings. I think Churchill would not have been able to defy the Blitz, if he hadn’t first been at war with his “black dog,” as he called it. No meds. No shrinks. Just more than the usual measure of courage.
I did not know R. Y.Y. Pinto had moved to NYC and is offering kabbalistic advice. Hope a special bracha can help Ye.
