Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland died early Thursday morning, the team announced. He was 24.
"It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning," the Cowboys said in a statement. "Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family."
Kneeland's agent, Jonathan Perzley, said in a statement, "I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night. I watched him fight his way from a hopeful kid at Western Michigan with a dream to being a respected professional for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit, and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.

We will be hearing a lot of hyperbole today about what a great kid, etc.
Just reminding everyone that everyone is mortal.
With a forename like Marshawn, I don’t have to look.
Dang! RIP, Kneeland.
at 24??? Huh??? Accident, suicide, overdose?
So true. Death is certain (Rapture notwithstanding); only the time, place and manner vary.
And remember, God does not grade on a curve - which means we’re never good enough to make it to Heaven on our own merits.
I’m not familiar with him, but may he RIP. There’s very little in the news about the cause of death.
“Accident, suicide, overdose?”
Likely either of the latter two. Accident would have been reported in the article.
Or clotshot?
Well the questions will start as to cause of death. My guess, until I hear different, is he took the Covid shots and it caught up with him.
Most 24 year olds can not conceive of their own death for more than a few seconds at a time.
Which makes them those we choose to fill the ranks of our professional soldiers.
I’ll go with either (1) fentanyl or (2) self-inflicted gunshot wound while drunk or high on weed.
Young people think that they will live forever, and often live like it.
He was an athlete, to be sure, but still someone's child.
Just reminding everyone, that death is undefeated and they should plan their day accordingly. Make the most of it.
Unless you plan on rising from the dead under your own power, plan on meeting your maker.
Should every young person understand this, more may make it to be as old as Jim Robinson.
And affect as many people positively.
Give me a break. You know how many millions of people have gotten COVID vaccines? We’d be witnessing mass extinctions if all the hype were true. I’m not saying there aren’t risks with COVID vaccines, but to assume that was the cause of death is idiotic. News flash. People died before COVID vaxes. Some even died unexpectedly. Some were even professional athletes. Here’s one, just off the top of my head.

Here’s another.

Good reality post!
Yep. One of my friends died of Covid before the vaccines were available. Many died from Covid—many before the vaccines were first introduced.
Vaccines are important and valuable. One of the side effects of earlier vaccines, such as measles, polio, and others, is that some people lived long enough to make stupid comments on the internet.
Hush child! If people here could see the truth of this statement, then a lot of them would have nothing to post when it is reported some celebrity dies.
Rest In Peace, Marshawn.
I saw the game on Monday when Kneeland recovered the blocked kick in the end zone for a touchdown. It was a joyous moment for him.
