Massie makes a well timed point. The midterms could be awful. On the other hand, if the president is truly not that popular Massie will be safely back
A double edged sword

and especially not support ‘rinos in name only’ democrats like massie and rand paul..
To: RandFan
Democrat states voted for Democrats. No one is really surprised.
I don't know about shrinking the tent, but we should kick clowns like Massie out.

Trump is very good. He focused on foreign affairs and now it’s time to put all energy into the economy and nothing else. That’s what voters want. Yes even republicans.

Massie is the typical self-serving, antagonistic contrarian — his departure from the political stage can’t come soon enough

He's right. Turning foreign policy over to Lindsey Graham has been a disaster as has failing to keep his promise on the Epstein files.

Yyyeahhh. Maybe the demonicRAT Party would be more amenable to “independents”. Someone ping Sen. Fetterman. Maybe he has some insight on this.

The “Hoax” isn’t what Epstein was all about, it was that Trump was involved and on the “lists”. Come on Massie, be intellectually honest here.

After Massie gets his ass kicked in next year’s primary, he will become a well-paid contributor to MSNOW or CNN. Just watch (kinda like Kissassinger did).

The guy who never supports President Trump tries to invoke Trump.
The Libertarian wing of the GOP is far smaller than the blue-collar wing. But, both I and Seth Keshel predicted VA and NYC. I had NJ as a tossup.

Or maybe it suggests that of the 18 million illegal aliens the Democrats imported to be their voters, enough found their way to illegally vote in states known for cheating. Has is that for an answer Tommy?

I am supportive of giving the Israelis, the Taiwanese, the South Koreans, and the Ukrainians whatever support in war materiel that they need. I also believe that this country should speak out against human rights abuses, not only in Nigeria, but in Britain, France, and Germany. However. we should not be looking for conflicts and Americans must see Trump entirely focused on domestic matters. Some of the issues, like the Fed holding off on interest rate cuts, are beyond Trump's control. His battling unfair trade practices and trying to bring manufacturing back to the U.S. are good. However, domestic manufacturers and retailers are unable to make a consistent profit when tariffs are in flux. There will be long term gain but the question arises as to whether the gains will be visible and tangible by the summer of 2026.
Dropoffs in Republican votes even in solidly red areas of New Jersey and Virginia in 2025 vs. 2024 and lesser declines in blue areas must be addressed. "It's the economy, stupid".

I don’t care if he is right on this point. Massie is fraud and a scumbag. Your thinly disguised support of him has worn thin.
To: RandFan
I wouldn't read too much into these off-cycle election results. So Democrats won in deep blue New Jersey, even bluer New York City, and somewhat lighter blue Virginia. Neither was a big surprise.
If Democrats started winning state-wide elections in Alabama or Montana, then Republicans should start worrying.
To: RandFan
No, Massie does not make a good point. We want a VALUES tent. We do not want a tent that welcomes everyone, including all sorts of leftist doctrines.

Something’s wrong with Massie.

Massie shrinks the R tent
one thing that R’s need to learn is messaging. PDJT is instinctively good at it, to be sure. But he usually speaks to immediate things. What’s needed is effective messaging about more fundamental and longer-term matters, things that can contribute to a wider-spread base of common values and societal goals. Ronald Reagan was very good at this.

NJ, VA and CA are BLUE STATES. Nothing new that a Republican Can’t win in
Blue States. Gov Young of VA was an unusual case of a Republican winning.
So, the sky isn’t falling.

There are two tents, and both tents have people from both parties in them.
There’s Deep State’s tent.
There’s MAGA’s.
Deep State’s tent is shrinking.
MAGA’s is growing.
