@RepThomasMassie
Maybe it suggests not alienating independents and shrinking the GOP tent…
which has been done through attacks on the non-interventionist liberty wing of the party and by calling the Epstein situation a hoax.

Massie is tweeting again! I didn’t want to make another thread cos I know there’s some hostility
But he says THE GOP Needs to stop covering for pedophiles!
@RepThomasMassie
To avoid a repeat of last night’s shellacking in the 2026 midterms, Republicans should:
quit covering for pedophiles
put America before Israel
put farmers before corporations
quit funding wars abroad
reduce spending to control inflation
quit attacking independent voices
“or is it that you consider Trump’s agenda to be liberal”
The long line of Continuing Resolutions that they keep passing, and refusing to write up a constitutional budget, that does go back to Obamunism.
Full stop.
Obamunism.
I hope Massie always opposes the repeat Obamunism. If you think Obamunism is liberal, well, then, it is what it is that Trump is still keeping it going.
“JD Vance on Thomas Massie: Every Time We’ve Needed His Vote ‘He Has Been Completely Unwilling to Provide It’”
A wonderful development. The GOP’s agenda is NOT conservatism’s agenda. Often times the GOP’s agenda is the Democrat’s agenda, and no, the GOP did not deserve Massie’s vote even though they needed it to help the democrats.
Perhaps the GOP should try embracing the U.S. Constitution a little bit more every once in a while, what do you think about that?
The Constitution surely sounds reasonable to me.
As usual, Massie’s right. The Republicans had no message, and you can’t win without one.
If you think they’re RINOs or Democrats, you’re out of touch with reality.
The strange thing is why people like you believe something that is entirely false.
What exact votes do you think establish Sen Paul and Rep Massie as "democrats"?
The Republicans had no message. The consultants told them not to take stands that might offend someone and the ground game would do the trick. It didn’t and it won’t. I know taking stand is against Republican principles, but you need to do it.
I'll bet you can't even explain why you believe that.
Can you cite some house votes?
But I doubt Vance or you can actually point to an example to support that statement.
Note that Vance doesn't specify what votes. And if you look at Massie's actual voting record it is hard to find an example of what Vance is claiming.
How about finding a house vote as an example to support Vance's claim?
Republicans:
Their only principle is to have no principles.
Their only strategy is preemptive surrender.
Their only plan for victory is to abandon their base.
They did such a good job of replacing the #Whigs that they’ve become the Whigs.
Unfortunately, the GOP has a virtually infinite capacity to learn the wrong lesson from any situation.
As my onetime boss, the late Howard Phillips, used to say, when Democrats are in charge it’s as if we’re in aa car going off a cliff at 100 MPH. At least the Republicans drive the speed limit — but you’re still going off the cliff. We need to turn the car around.
What a maroon.
Epstein, Epstein. Epstein.
The new “Squirrel!”
In an email to Newsweek, Massie said: “On the day the House returns to session, I’ll have 218 signatures on my discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files. Speaker Johnson's manipulation of the House calendar has delayed this for several weeks. If he’s hoping the news will get better or that people will forget, he should think again. We know from the victims’ lawyers that at least 20 men are implicated in files the FBI possesses, and we learned today from the New York Times that after his death suspicious activity reports were filed with the government on nearly a billion dollars of transfers from Epstein’s account.”In a November 1 email to Newsweek, a spokesperson for Speaker Johnson said: "The Speaker was asked yesterday on local radio in Louisiana directly about the release of Epstein files and the false accusation that House Republicans are blocking the release of this information," including his response:
“Give me a break. There's another red herring; they're trying to distort everything. Of course, the Epstein files are being released… Last Friday, we had the third batch of release of the Epstein Estate files. We have lawyers during the shutdown who have been up in New York City digging through all of that stuff. They have released his flight logs, his financial ledgers, his daily calendar, his personal notes. I mean, we're going so deep into the details of Epstein. There will be nothing uncovered. And that's all been happening.
Rep. Massie is far from alone on this issue, there are 218 other House members who want the public to be able to know what was really going on with Epstein. And Speaker Johnson - hardly a "democrat" - also says he is working hard to release the Epstein material.
How is Rep. Massie advocating what Speaker Johnson says he and his own Republican staff are doing going along with Democrat talking points?
Looking out the window, it doesn’t look like the sky is falling.
We win some, we lose some. I’ll agree with Massie that we need to look at wins and losses, but disagree that the strategic failure was not offering a big enough tent. NYC for example - the best we could do was Sliwa? It was over before it started.
Strategy and tactics can differ across the fruited plains. One size doesn’t fit all.
Actually it suggests more than ever people like Massie don’t belong in political office with this kind of a response...certainly not within the GOP.
With friends like him, MTG, etc. with their recent behavior you hardly need enemies.
Hogwash!
Results in 2 or 3 communist-controlled cities or states has no bearing on the GOP position...
More non-citizens than citizens voted in NYC... A significant portion of the NJ vote is most likely carryover from the NYC sewers...
FU and Massie. You do the left a great favor.
