The FBI hauled in five suspects Friday, shutting down what officials say was a Halloween-weekend terror plot in Michigan with ties to ISIS.
“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” FBI Director Kash Patel announced on X.
Federal agents grabbed the suspects in Dearborn and Inkster, according to three senior law enforcement officials briefed on the case. Investigators say the group discussed launching an attack around Halloween — a date they allegedly called “pumpkin day.”
Authorities moved before anyone could strike, though it’s still unclear whether the crew had picked a target or set a firm time. Two officials said investigators are looking into whether the group radicalized on its own.
Court documents remained sealed Friday, and the FBI has not yet released the names of those in custody. Officials said the suspects had access to firearms.
Agents tracked the group in the Detroit area for several days before swooping in. Officials stressed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
In a later statement, Patel praised the operation. “Through swift action and close coordination with our local partners, a potential act of terror was stopped before it could unfold. The vigilance of this FBI prevented what could have been a tragic attack — and thanks to their dedication, Michigan will have a safe and happy Halloween.”
When I first heard about this thwarted attack, I thought it was a domestic threat by antifa and BLM types.

Is there a difference. The common thread is hatred of America, hatred of a Democratic Republic, hatred of Christianity, hatred of free speech for all. All use violence as part of the political process as do the leaders of the democrat party. The same can be said for Muslim terrorists. Is there a difference?
Local news reported that suspects are between 16 and 20 years old.

The terror attack had a name.
The perpetrators had ties to ISIS.
