More than half of all illegal-immigrant households have at least one U.S.-born child through whom they can receive aid. Nearly 2.7 million households have at least one illegal head and one child, and more than 5.3 million U.S.-born children of illegal aliens hold Social Security numbers. The total estimated cost to American taxpayers of providing SNAP benefits to the children of illegal aliens is almost $5.8 billion.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, data from the 2022 Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) indicates that 54 percent of households headed by immigrants—including naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal immigrants, used one or more major welfare programs.

The other half....baby mommas.
54% think about that one.
Only Illegals should not be eligible.
Taking non US citizens off the SNAP and Medicaid rolls will save hundreds of billions a year
The amount of government social welfare spending on non citizens is astronomical
There is no such thing as a “Federal Benefit” as it is TAKEN/STOLEN from you or piled on the debt in the form of redistribution of wealth, it’s the only thing RINOs excel at.
The US Government has got to limit the amount of government assistance a person can receive. There are just too many people who are on permanent government assistance. Either we place time limits on these programs or we place dollar limits on the total amount of assistance a person can receive in their lifetime. It has simply gotten out of hand as too many people take advantage and game the system.
I will disagree.
Non-citizens should never be given any government assistance.
Or we ask/demand something in return for these "free" benefits.
pretty sure the terms of my green card were that I not be a burden on the state, that meant no welfare of any kind. This was 30 years ago, but I don’t think that has changed
NB...None of my grandparents ever became citizens. They were all legal citizens, worked, paid taxes, etc etc..
They shouldn’t be:
No one cares about your parents.
You’re saying they all non-citizens are green card recipients.
NB...None of my grandparents ever became citizens.
That was their choice.
They were all legal citizens, worked, paid taxes, etc etc..
I think you mean residents not citizens.
And so?
They did not want to be part of the country. So they should not get any of the benefits.
That is just logical.
There are time limits on welfare
Barak Obama put a pause on enforcement of the laws but I don’t recall them being repealed
BKMK
“No, the federal time limits on welfare have not been repealed, but states have flexibility to set their own policies. Federal law limits cash assistance to 60 months over a lifetime, but states can grant exemptions for a portion of their caseload and may use state funds to extend benefits beyond the federal limit.
Federal limit: The federal government, through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, restricts federally funded cash assistance to a lifetime limit of 60 months.
State flexibility: Federal law gives states considerable flexibility in setting their own time-limit policies. This includes the ability to impose a shorter limit, no limit at all, or to grant exemptions from the time limit.
State-funded benefits: A key feature is that states can provide additional assistance beyond the federal time limit using their own funds.
Exemptions: States can exempt up to 20% of their caseload from the federal time limit. For example, some states have exemptions for families dealing with domestic violence, disability, or caring for a disabled family member.
Varied state policies: Due to this flexibility, time-limit policies vary significantly from state to state. “
You know, when we say, “We feed the world” we don’t mean that literally.
Our productive farmers raise more than enough food for us, so we *sell* the surplus.
WFTW doesn’t mean that every Cousin Eddie and his extended family can roll across our border, point to their mouths and say, “Feed me Seymour.”
They were here....had farms, raised children, 9 sons went off to war...paid taxes and collected Social Security.
They were as much a part of the country as myself.
