UFO sightings and nuclear weapons tests linked in ‘significant’ new findings
MSN ^ | 10/28/2025 | Chris Young

For the first time, a team of scientists has found a “statistically significant” correlation between historical UAP reports and nuclear weapons tests.

The researchers analyzed historical photographs taken by the Palomar Observatory in California, and they uncovered a number of mysterious bright spots in the night sky.

there is the typical bombshell proof of blurry black and white smeared photos or a shaky cam video of what could be snot on the lens. I don’t know if I’d call it conclusive proof of nonhuman intelligence. I have yet to see anything that leads me to believe we’ve found anything. I’m glad they are taking data but we will see if anything comes of it. No one would like to find something interesting more than me.

Well nuclear weapons and the use of atomic energy is why these dudes showed up to lay down the law.

An intelligence from the other side of the universe, with capability to get here and observe us, probably would be familiar with powers far more significant than our weapons.

This study comes from credible scientists—astrophysicist Beatriz Villarroel and medical researcher Stephen Bruehl—but the research lies outside their primary areas of expertise, blending astronomy, statistics, and nuclear history in an exploratory way.

It uses real data and real analysis, but the reported correlations are not shown to be causal or even meaningfully connected. Moreover, unless I have missed something, the claims of peer review appear inaccurate at this stage.

An intelligence from the other side of the universe

That's a dog-eared strawman.

Good analysis. But there could still be something here.

I think the greys live underground. That is why they are grey colored and have huge eyes. They were probably sleeping when the bomb went off and were annoyed. LOL!

That said, there are other reports that substantiate the interest in our nuclear capabilities:

Monitoring since the 1940s: Another study analyzed Cold War-era observatory photos and found that transient star-like objects appeared more frequently around nuclear test dates. Researchers concluded that non-human intelligence may have been monitoring nuclear activity since the 1940s.

UFOs disabling nukes: Retired U.S. Air Force Captain Robert Salas testified that in 1967, a UFO allegedly shut down 10 nuclear missiles at Malmstrom Air Force Base. He claimed the extraterrestrial message was a blunt critique of nuclear weapons.

Astronaut testimony: Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut, publicly stated his belief that aliens had intervened to prevent nuclear war. Though controversial, his claims added weight to the idea that extraterrestrials are concerned about humanity’s destructive capabilities.

With the universe estimated to be 13.8 billion years old, I have no reason not to believe that there may be other civilizations out there that may be thousands of years more advanced than us and may have developed technology that allows them to traverse the universe, if not inter-dimensionaly.....

From a religious aspect, why would God give life to just our planet? Was it out of boredom?

“Anecdotal news reports, dating back to 1947, meanwhile, have linked the sightings to secretive nuclear technology tests.”

Not just “anecdotal news reports”, the same thing was noted in FBI files from that period.

Yep. Some (Vallée, Hynek, Hastings, Keel, et al.) have speculated that the detonation of nuclear weapons may have ruptured or thinned the boundary between dimensions, creating a kind of “portal” through which NHI enter our reality. This hypothesis is sometimes invoked to explain why UFO/UAPs are frequently reported near nuclear plants, missile silos, and nuclear-powered carrier groups.
