Your concern is duly noted.

Federal employees had to interrupt shopping from their sofas while they were “remote working”, now that they aren’t getting paid to do so.

Yes, have read most of that. Housing sales are tanking, but the media (probably paid off by the industry) are not covering it fully. Why is the market (especially the Nasdaq) still going up? Crazy.

We’re going in a recession soon, its not Trumps fault but the President always gets the blame, hopefully its over before the midterms.

I must admit that I’m a bit confused by your post. Are you just stating a few facts for general interest, or are you trying to point us to a conclusion of some sort?
If it’s the latter, what is that conclusion?
That Trump is not doing a good job with the economy?
That Trump’s tariffs are harming the country?
That interest rates should be lowered?
Or is it something else?

The whole world is in an AI transformation. Entire job sectors are going away. Taxis will soon be driverless; hotel check-in without talking to anyone; Architects will soon be replaced by someone who can design a building to code using AI in minutes - look for a job that requires a real person: plumber, carpenter, etc.

As with recessions and depressions across history, jobs and assets and investments are won and lost. When it's some one else’s it seems distant, and when it's you it's critical. Sorry if you're stressed. Government is never the long term answer, however.

Sorry but as someone who spent nearly 2 years unable to get a job under Biden, claiming things are worse under Trump is bullshit.
Thank God Trump won, or I’d probably be closing in on 3 years unemployed

It wouldn't matter if Trump nuked NY or deleted all the currency in the US banking system. No one here would admit he did anything wrong because it would upend their whole world view. Some people would rather start a civil war than admit they were wrong.
If there is a substantial economic downturn, Trump will be blamed by the country at large and the conspiracy theories will start flying on the right. If he fails, the whole right fails and I don't see the left allowing another opportunity for the right to get control.
