At least 2 historic magnolia trees, Kennedy Garden appear to have been removed to make way for Trump's White House ballroom

Legend says that George Washington once chopped down his father's cherry tree.

Satellite images show President Donald Trump's project to build a $300 million grand ballroom has appeared to take down at least six trees on the White House grounds -- including two historic magnolia trees commemorating Presidents Warren G. Harding and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The satellite images released on Thursday provide the fullest picture yet of the extent of the demolition work on the White House's East Wing and its effect on the surrounding parkland -- changes made without consulting the government commission established by federal law to ensure the preservation and integrity of government buildings in D.C., according to former commission officials who spoke to ABC News.

Oh my, the tree huggers at ABC are angry.

Trees get chopped down everyday, ABC, and they had satellite images, where did they get that?

A tree to commemorate someone at the level of President is insulting.

If Obama or Biden had cut down a tree to do a little remodeling, they’d rationalize into an important improvement. The MSM are so transparent it’s embarrassing.

You remember ABC. The network that rigged the debate.

Oh for pity sakes. All the whining and crying over this has become ridiculous.

People should be excited to see a change and enjoy watching it transform into the future instead of whining over something that isn’t costing them a flat dime.

If the grounds end up as beautiful as Mar-a-Lago except with natural flora and fauna of the Virginia area, it will be fabulous.

And Obama decimated hundreds of acres of scenic park land when he cleared out plant life for the construction of his ridiculous monstrosity of a library. Let’s give proper blame where blame is due.

the obsession with the ballroom is so they can avoid reporting about other things

like the schumer shutdown

it is not surprising that President Trump needs more room for his balls

Same folks cheering on the removal of statues of prominent Americans.

Sorry executive branch bureaucrats, the president outranks you. He is also an elected official, you’re not.

Magnolia trees, while they have pretty blossoms in the springtime, are basically a nuisance the rest of the time. Huge leathery leaves fall all around requiring the constant pick up and the seed cones with sharp spines can be a real pain, and they attract fuzzy tailed tree rats, aka squirrels..................
