@TomiLahren
If they want to import cheap foreign beef, at least LABEL it as such!

Agree. If they do for olive oil and pasta, for example, why not beef?
Back in the 80’s....
Macdonald’s imported beef from Argentina, they still might. A lot of beef. Oddly enough it came from from one gigantic rancho. Guess who owned it?
A Rockefeller.
One wonders why he waited so long to do this...
COOL for beef and pork was ended in 2016.
Has the cat had his tongue til now?
so the no government interference guy is calling for new government labeling regulations?
Typical DC hypocrite
Since Covid most of our grocery stores no longer have a butcher on site.
Meat comes prepackaged from a distributor.
Quality of beef and pork has declined.
I don’t trust the government at all on this and wonder if some meat comes from China - or other countries that have lax environmental and food safety laws.
“Somehow, your vision is so poor you didn’t see that I first slammed RandFan.”
And why? Because he doesn’t think exactly like you the group think herd want him to think?
That is absolutely a leftist trait and practice... Are we an echo board like Bluesky now?
This kind of purism and micromanagement is going to drive everyone away except those five “good old boys” who think exactly alike without compromise. Then everyone is going to lose it because those five good old boys will not be able to finance it.
RandFan is free to cry and post about crying. I am a strong proponent of him doing so—so I absolutely support him.
You, on the other hand, appear to believe people should not criticize or challenge ideas they do not support. Yet, you criticize me for rationally arguing and for my use of ridicule.
It seems you have a double-standard, which I would expect from someone who claims everyone else should, instead, have an open mind, “Openurmind.”
“I am a strong proponent of him doing so—so I absolutely support him.”
That is pure BS. You and the herd care more about your selfish personal purist biases than you care about the overall security of this domain. If you had your way you would excommunicate anyone and everyone who does not think exactly like YOU want them to think. I deal with it all the time... “Hey you transvestite!, you need to go back to the DU because you are not 100% purely up Trump’s butt like me!”.
Anyone who even hints of thinking independently and not being 100% is stoned and burned at the stake. If you guys run off everyone here who is not 100% pure you will have no base left to support the domain and everyone will lose it. It is not rocket science... What are your priorities? The domain first or yourselves first? I pick domain...
I would like to see this domain remain for everyone. But this want for absolute purism is going to destroy it. It has already ran off a whole lot of folks and discouraged others from even participating... I know, because when I share this concept like I am right now they PM me and thank me for saying something about it.
And that is not at all good for THE DOMAIN as a whole.
RandFan needs to post because it lets me look good on stupid things he maintains. If he doesn't post, them I can't call out how logically inconsistent Rand Paul and Assie’s words are—because I would never post such stupid, valid stuff.
Open “Your” mind.
“So the USDA stamp is fraudulent.”
They are doing some type of inspections .
of origin.
“Import inspection process
International inspection: Foreign countries are required to have their own inspection programs that are equivalent to U.S. standards before beef is exported.
Documentation: All necessary paperwork must be presented to USDA and other agencies like U.S. Customs and Border Protection upon arrival.
Reinspection at port: FSIS personnel conduct a reinspection at an official import inspection establishment to verify the certification and examine the shipment for condition and proper labeling.
Final stamp: Once the product has passed all federal requirements, it can be allowed into the U.S. The final “USDA Inspected and Passed” stamp is affixed during the packaging process.
I'm with you on this one. Our beef is raised on a local Colorado family farm, same family ranch for 3-4 generations. We get one side a year. For the meat, and processing at another local business, it runs around $7/lb average.
That's for the best grass fed, free range, steaks with no chemicals, and also for the ground. Today at Costco, I saw their fresh ground is $6/lb. Full of chemicals. I think we're getting a great deal.
If anyone around Colorado, Kansas, or Wyoming wants the contact info for this generational family cattle ranch, PM me. A processed side runs about 225-250 pounds. You'll need a freezer. ;)
You can get a full cow, a side, a quarter side, or even just ground beef in 1-pound wraps. It's delicious!!
