Trump's Venezuela drug bust shows he's either misinformed or has another motive
Sky News ^ | Oct 25 | Stuart Ramsay -- Chief correspondent

There are a few reasons to doubt the American government's stated aim of wiping out these so-called "narco terrorist" gangs threatening the US from Venezuela, even after one takes out of the equation the sort of equipment the military is deploying - which isn't what they would need for effective drug smuggling interdiction.

While the president acknowledges that the synthetic opioid fentanyl is a huge killer in the US (which it is) and is supplied by drug gangs (which it is), to blame Venezuela for fentanyl production is simply incorrect.

Mexican cartels produce fentanyl with precursors largely supplied from China, and it is from Mexico - America's neighbour - that the fentanyl is smuggled directly into the United States across its southern border.

Venezuela isn't involved in this fentanyl business in any meaningful way, and I know this because I have reported from the Sinaloa cartel's fentanyl production labs in Mexico.

The Mexican cartels are very proud of their business, and from my experience covering this story over the years, when the drugs cartels are proud of something, and it makes them a lot of money - which fentanyl does - they don't share the market with anyone, and certainly not with Venezuela.

President Trump is right that Venezuela is now a large supplier of other illegal drugs, especially cocaine, but they come from countries like Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia, which are the largest producers of the coca leaf in the world (the coca leaf is what cocaine is made from).

Venezuela, which borders Colombia, is largely a transit country to the Caribbean in the same way that Ecuador, which also borders Colombia, is a transit country to the Pacific.

Neither Venezuela nor Ecuador are significant drug producers.

“I’m all for cracking down on drug trafficking coming into this country.

But, there is no sufficient threat to go to war in Venezuela.

And, it’s absurd to think Venezuela is reasonable for more drug trafficking into this country than Mexico. So why aren’t we focused on cracking down Mexican drug cartels?

Could Trump using drug trafficking in Venezuela as an excuse to enact the globalist and neocon agenda he has spent 10 years condemning? I hope not.

Becoming Donald W. Trump would destroy his Presidency, his legacy and result in Democrats gaining power again, which might destroy the country.”

Ok, I am thoroughly impressed. One of the few critical thinkers of the whole lot. This is exactly my stance also. Since you are on the right track I would like to share some of my own observations based on history with you “Why”.

Fist the question of where the drugs are going is a waste of time and unimportant. The true reason why this invasion on Venezuela is happening is the real question and important argument. It is about gaining control of Venezuela first and drugs second. It is about drugs but not in the way the fools understand. First and foremost it is about submission of Venezuela and Columbia. You do not send a whole Naval Strike force with landing troops and an Aircraft Carrier just to stop a few fast boats.

Right off the bat anyone who believes that kind of deployment is needed is an absolute fool and should already be questioning this.

The CIA is the biggest drug management organization in the world on behalf of the global elite. They used to control all of it world wide. All the sources and all the markets though manufactured wars and occupation. They currently have a problem, the Cartels and host Nation States have now gone independent and rejected their upper management control.

So this is all about the CIA global upper management performing a hostile takeover to get control of the trade back. The drugs will not stop, they just want to regain control of it again. Both in Venezuela and Columbia. The CIA has been “Stopping” the drug trade from Columbia for over half a century, yet it has not slowed down one bit and has even grown.

They are manipulating Trump to create a war and perform this hostile takeover so that upper management can get back control. It is not at all about stopping drugs, the drugs will not stop, they will just be back under the old management again. And that is why this invasion is being created. The Corporate board wants control back from the rogue moonlighters selling on the side.

One impoetant fact is that sinking boats loaded with drugs is not only very cheap, but is very easy.

The ships have to b4e somewhere. Off the coast of Venezuela is as good as any and it gets a lot of news coverage about the cartel problem.

And I must ask........ what makes you thing the Mexican cartels are not being severely delt with?

“They dont and they go to Europe mostly and largely”

So, that means it’s OK. Right. These drugs are an international commodity. Cutting off one supply line affects the others. We are going to have to squeeze all of them if we are to bring this problem under control.
