Time is the undisputed champion. There needs to be a mandatory retirement age for Congress.

Electing a politician is like electing a Christmas tree. It’s all the ornaments that come with it that bring the problems.
The Founders assumed that members of Congress would serve a term or two, then go back to their farms. Regular elections would provide turnover.
The Founders sure were wrong about that.
