Polls show Mamdani the overwhelming favorite in what is essentially a 3 man race. IMO - the only way Mamdani loses is if Cuomo or Sliwa drop out and support the remaining anti-Mamdani candidate.

Cuomo is failed leadership. He already held the brass ring and NY suffered for it. The conservative base of NY will *never* vote for him again. If Sliwa drops out of the race today and makes a heartfelt appeal for his supporters to get behind Cuomo, his supporters will politely tell him to go pound sand, and Cuomo will lose guaranteed because he has already been disgraced out of office. But if Cuomo had an ounce of concern for the people of NY and dropped out of the race with a heartfelt appeal for his supporters to get behind Sliwa, there is actual potential for Sliwa to win. Half of Cuomo's supporters will be grateful that Cuomo dropped out and saved them from a difficult decision at the ballot box.

Hell will freeze over before Cuomo defeats Mamdani, but if Cuomo "does the right thing" (which he won't), Sliwa could very possibly succeed in similar fashion to Trump.
