United Airlines flight 93, domestic passenger flight that was hijacked on September 11, 2001, as part of a coordinated terrorist attack on the United States by al-Qaeda. It is believed that the hijackers intended to fly the plane into a building in Washington, D.C., possibly the U.S. Capitol or the White House. However, passengers fought to retake control of the aircraft, and during the struggle hijackers crashed the plane into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The site is now a national memorial.

Just last week I met a guy sitting in a chair at a suburban Boston mall. He was an older guy (I'd guess about 70) and he was wearing a big,bold FDNY baseball cap. I asked him if *he* was FDNY and said “yup,retired after 30 years”. We got to talking and he told me that 7 members of his family,all FDNY or NYPD,died on 9/11. I was just about speechless after hearing that. I asked him if I could get a selfie with him and he said yah. Jimmy was his name and I'll never forget having met him.

I grew up in that town, and my friend (just someone I know) is in the family that owns that farm and field.

A lot of what we are told about that the flight 93 crash is not the truth. Not sure if why, really, but the tall story is different.

The crash site is actually on the other side of the hill as it’s marked. I have more to say on this, but have always risked muddying the poor souls aboard those planes, so keep my mouth shut on the topic.

That alignment is completely coincidental.
