INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – A St. Lucie County woman was arrested and charged with robbery by sudden snatching without a firearm or weapon at a weekend 'No Kings' protest near Vero Beach.
Deputies said the 73-year-old approached a pro-Trump protester and attempted to grab a “Trump Won” flag he was holding at the 'No Kings' protest on State Road 60 just outside of Vero Veach city limits, one of six held across the Treasure Coast Oct. 18.
Organizers said these protests focused on President Donald Trump's “crackdowns on First Amendment rights,” which attracted over 7 million people throughout 2,700 communities, big and small.
A deputy who said he observed the interaction said in a report the woman “unprovoked and for no apparent reason” began a “verbal altercation” with him because he was “waving a flag opposite of the reason she was there…”
The man, the deputy said, was along the protest route along State Road 60 at the intersection of 58th Avenue where in recent protests thousands of protesters have gathered in planned protests.
According to the report, a crowd began gathering and “several people surrounded him” and were talking with him. The deputy said “it appeared calm” until the woman approached him.
She got up close, raising her middle fingers in the man’s face, the deputy said, roughly 10 inches from him. The man, according to the affidavit, moved and continued waving his flag, but the deputy wrote the woman became “more irritated” and grabbed the flag pole and attempted to pull it from his hands.
He resisted and pulled back loosening her grip and “did not respond with any physical action” towards her, the deputy stated in the report.
As the woman was being taken to a nearby patrol car and placed under arrest, the deputy stated she dragged her feet and refused to get in the vehicle.
Bonnie Howard, of the 8000 block of Eden Road in St. Lucie County, was arrested on the single felony charge and placed in Indian River County Jail. She was released Oct. 19 on $1,500 bail.

"Trump Won" triggered her - bwaahahahaha!
Guilty! A man would have to be drunk and desperate to hit that.
These people don’t even understand WTF they’re protesting about. The just know they should hate Trump for some reason. America’s getting really tired of these losers.
Why is she wearing a string mop on her head? 🤔
Halloween humor
Bonnie was at a Halloween party.
Someone said to her, “That certainly is a frightening mask you are wearing.”
“I’m not wearing a mask.” she replied
I’m not even going to accuse Laz of hitting this one.
LOL
I think that is Stephen King.
Greta’s grandma?
Not the smartest thing to do, go to a No Kings rally and wave a pro Trump flag. That’s like wavy a red flag in front of a charging bull. It was the flag wavers right, yes.
Maybe he just wanted to rock some people’s boats for the hell of it. Consider her boat now Rocked.
THERE IS THE PERFECT PIC OF A LIFE LONG BAR-FLY
