Gordan Liddy was a teacher at his old school.

Not a teacher, but a local FBI special agent.

“He was also reprimanded for firing a revolver at the ceiling in a courtroom.[13][14] In 1969, a drug raid directed by Liddy at Bard College scooped up, among others, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, who later formed the band Steely Dan and wrote the song “My Old School” about the raid. Liddy is referred to in the lyrics as “Daddy Gee”.[19]” — Wikipedia

šŸ˜Ž, Steely Dan introducing jazz to the masses! What a brilliant twosome who hired only the finest musicians. I enjoy the videos of these musicians telling stories of the long studio sessions. The story of Michael McDonald recalling the numerous ways he was asked to sing the word ā€œPegā€ was impressive…..

All Russians and Ukrainians. Best cover band on Earth. Chicago, Tower of Power, EWF, just flawless musicianship. Touring the U now.

We were at the Biltmore while they were setting up for a concert that evening. I don’t think you can top a sound check with Steeley Dan playing Pink Floyd.

Probably my favorite SD tune, a great live performance. Always liked them but didn’t realize til much later what perfectionists they were, as reflected in the caliber of musicians they chose. Top of the class all-round.

No offense to any alum, but we used to call William and Mary Millions of Fairies. (Now I wouldn’t doubt that the Naval Academy has just as many)

‘Leonid and Friends’ do AMAZING covers. Down to each NOTE! Love them!

I’m sure you know of Postmodern Jukebox? If not, treat yourself! :)

Just saw Leonid and Friends perform this live in Albuquerque. Incredible. Check it out on YouTube.

I saw them last November in Phoenix. This is my favorite song of theirs. Exceptional performance,
