We were at the Biltmore while they were setting up for a concert that evening. I don’t think you can top a sound check with Steeley Dan playing Pink Floyd.
Probably my favorite SD tune, a great live performance. Always liked them but didn’t realize til much later what perfectionists they were, as reflected in the caliber of musicians they chose. Top of the class all-round.
No offense to any alum, but we used to call William and Mary Millions of Fairies. (Now I wouldn’t doubt that the Naval Academy has just as many)
