I buy my coffee beans on sale and stay about 1 and 1/2 years ahead, I’m probably good for 12 or 15 months.
California is just starting up on growing coffee as well. As you might imagine, pricy.
Do note that very, very good coffee can be grown in Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia (Sumatra), and of course the Isle of Java. Alot of the stuff grown in Brazil is mediocre.

I’ve resorted to buying crap coffee, which is still expensive, but making it strong and with enough real cream, I’m good.
In July I paid $9.56 for Walmart's Great Value Donut Shop coffee. Less than a month later, it was $15.34. Looks more like 50% or so to me.
I no longer buy Walmart coffee. If I'm going to spend that much on coffee, I'll go with name brand stuff.

We drink Keurig coffee cups most of the time and there was a big price hike last year, well before Trump’s tariffs. The price hike was partly concealed because - for several brands - you now only get ten cups per box instead of twelve.
I don’t care how much it costs - GIVE ME MY COFFEE!!!!!
But like coffee, there are still many grocery staples with price rises significantly outpacing the overall inflation rate.

Not all items go up at once it’s a creep thing so few notice it.
Reading this has given me great schadenfreude as the caffeine addicts lament. Caffeine is more additive than cocaine proven scientific research for those brave enough to look. Haven’t had caffeine in 20 years so ha suck it junkies.
That said why not greenhouse grow it in Texas or anywhere in the south heat and mist the greenhouses plus add extra CO2 for double growth rates. Better yet vertical farm it in high rise stacks.
