Austin, Texas housing market collapsing. Mexicans saying no work, houses not selling.
Mexican customers on the street talk | 10-20-25 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

Where I work in Austin, I deal with a LOT of Hispanic customers, primarily Mexicans. They have been telling me for some time that there is almost no construction work available. Today, two in a very short space of time said they have no work.

Furthermore lemons, avocados, poblano peppers or other produce into the U.S. due to tariffs and are unloading tons of it on the side of rural highways for the locals to pick up for free. We are about to see major economic problems as the Trump Administration attempts to fix YEARS of problems caused by Godless Democrats.

“”””””and have NOT naintained our educational system to allow Americans to be vocationally adept and not depend on foreign labor.””””””

That isn’t what caused the Mexican and later immigrants taking over all the blue collar job, they were the unskilled cheap labor that replaced the skilled Americans.

Mexicans did not know construction and landscaping, and roofing, and they dragged those fields of work down, not up, which is why construction and quality of the trades sucks so badly today, and they didn’t bring expertise into the packing plants and factories and machine shops, what they brought was low pay and docile peasant behavior.

In other words, Trump’s policies are making housing affordable and bringing food prices down.

Amen

The Democrats probably realize it is really difficult for them to steal elections now so they resorted to flooding the country with illegal aliens hoping to give them a chance to vote in national Federal elections promising them all the free stuff they want if the Dems win.

Money goes a lot further when not paying income tax or FiCA and getting a boatload of freebies at the same time.

“those who already have houses”

drop in prices generally not a problem for long time owners, in fact, their property taxes should go down ...

There are two things that never go down, property taxes and Catholic girls.

Proof that the massive illegal population (estimated at 20 million to 60 million) in the USA are driving inflation adross the board, including the outrageous housing prices.

As the illegal population is reduced by the administration enforcement of our laws demand for all products decline.

Whew! I was in tears over lune because I thought you called me a disparaging word referring to a Democrat and I had never seen the term. Loon is okay.

That was JFK’s goal, replace the American population with non-white Catholics.

Exactly! As more and more illegals get removed from the country, housing prices will go down. Housing is overpriced for the last 5 years or so.

Renters buying up all the houses they can to rent are the ones going to get hit the most. That is on them as they were relying on illegals to pay your way.

It remains to see if housing will go down slowly as less demand equals less price or hard, because they tried to prop it up till it pops.

Just like in 2005-2008 before the crash.

Almost everywhere it has climbed too fast this time. Even Memphis, where I live has way too high housing prices.

Cities love this because they can adjust the value of your house to make you pay more tax. I know several people renting that their rent just keeps going up and up IN MEMPHIS.

Getting rid of 25 million people will cause a lot less demand for many things!

Thank you. I get sick of people acting like those jobs are just done by Mexicans cause Americans won’t do them.

Mt brother worked in construction. Back then, it was about half white and black; and pay was not super high. Then Mexicans replaced them because they paid them half as much and under the table. Pretty soon after, all you saw was Mexicans.

Eventually Americans got the message and moved into other fields of work. Just like IT type jobs were taken over by India. Many Americans stopped doing these jobs because they were outsourced to India or they brought India here to replace them.

Americans can and did any job, but we got to get paid. Getting rid of all these problems is going to cause some turmoil but if we stick with it, it will work out for the best.

Yes, but cities will fight this tooth and nail. Its one reason housing prices crash instead of slowly dropping.

Government wants that money and they hate to admit it when housing goes down. So they prop it up as long as they can to get that money.

Is this a stream of consciousness rant or the beginnings of a blog?

Seems like neither to me. Just a Freeper reporting on what he's hearing and pointing out that we've been aborting and contracepting ourselves out of existence for a long time now. Agree or disagree if you like but I, for one, appreciate the post.

The same people pushing for abortion are the same ones that say we need to bring in foreigners because we don’t have enough people.

Make it make sense.
