A man waited more than 50 years to carry out his vengeance after being bullied at school.
South Dakota man Carl Ericsson never forgot how his bully Norman Johnson pulled a jockstrap over his head in a high school locker room when he was younger.
Retired Madison High School teacher and track coach Norman Johnson had answered his front door only to get shot twice in the face.

That’s what I call holding a grudge. I thought prison inmates held grudges from the street, but in my 25 years of working in NY State’s prison system, 50 years takes the cake.
This was a Fargo episode.
And bemoan the fact that the IRS no longer does TCMP audits...
FAFO
We were cell mates Andy. You got a pay back coming.
“High School teacher and track coach Norman Johnson”
Perhaps old Norman never abused another kid. Or maybe he used those positions to put kids under his power so he could bully with impunity. If the latter, as I suspect, it’s a shame it took 50 years to catch up to him.
Kevin?
It’s me, Tim.
I bullied you in high school.
You might have a great job and a beautiful wife and fancy cars, but I got something you’ll never have…..
Fresh shrimp!
So put that in your pipe and smoke it in your fancy car with your gorgeous wife.
And I have a pet hamster named Gordo, so I’ve got that going for me, too.
“bet he played doing that over and over in his head for fifty years.“
Which is just plain nuts.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:17-21
I forgave those who terrorized me decades ago.
It DID help to know they are all probably dead or dead broke.
I on the other hand prospered, strong and retired well off.
🤣🤣🤣
He should have contacted me. I could have advised him of more subtle means with the same outcome that worked for me.
I was never bullied in school by anyone.
And I never bullied anyone.
Hard to relate to this story...looks like plain ‘ol murder by a psycho.
Do you live too far away to visit that restaurant and have him as a waiter ??
If you live close by, that might become my favorite restaurant.
I always thought the funny movie Romy and Michelle’s HS Reunion captured this best. Someone was always bullying someone. Even the bullies got bullied.
You are correct. Revenge is best served by living well.
Vengence is mine, saith the Lord.
Let God handle it.
Makes sense to me. No one wants to spend the rest of their life in prison for killing someone in their 20s. Sixties or seventies in perhaps declining health? Not many good years left to lose in prison.
Shooting him the face seems like a bad idea, though. Want to give him at least some time to contemplate the poor choices he made back then.
This does remind me a bit of the Houston case. Surgeon killed a guy’s mother on the operating table. Guy went on to live his life for decades. Getting old, he finally shot the surgeon while the doctor was bicycling to work at the hospital.

No it’s extremely out of balance. He ended the life of the bully and is now having his own life destroyed. This revenge was insane.
OMG I just checked.
The head terrorist died in 2018.
I outlived him and most likely had a much better life!
Long ago, I heard of an old Bedouin proverb that went something like,
“He who takes his revenge in less than forty years has acted hastily.”
