I used to work in a company that put the vacuum-deposited thin film coatings on Ray-Ban lenses. I don't know that it was the only company that did this, but they definitely did it.

They closely resemble the ABCs I was issued in the military:

Army Birth Control glasses.

Seriously though, a heads-up display is great on aircraft and would make Tesla vehicles far more desirable if implemented, but in one's personal visual field is information overload leading to accidents and fatalities.
