Watch out for the crazies this weekend
American Thinker ^ | 19 Oct, 2025 | Silvio Canto, Jr.

They’re really, really angry because they find it unforgivable that the American people voted for Trump.

Did you hear that we marched against “kings” this weekend? Yes, who knows how many reminded us that they hate kings, dictators, authoritarians, and anything that rhymes with Trump. Yes, anything that rhymes with Trump.

At the same time, please forgive some of us if we think that this bunch of marchers is just a little crazy, as Sasha Stone told us:

“If the rule you are following has led you to this, of what use was the rule?”

“Do you have any idea how crazy you are?”

“You mean the nature of this conversation?”

“I mean the nature of you.”

So goes an exchange in No Country for Old Men, but it’s a conversation the Democrats might have with themselves as they gather for yet another protest after ten years of them. If the rule you are following has led you to this, of what use was the rule?”

Protests are meant to be the voices of the unheard. Yet these protests are the voices of those who never shut up. Not for one minute, not for ten years, and all of us have had to endure them like being trapped inside Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory with hundreds of thousands of Veruca Salts.

What are their No Kings protests anyway? What have they been since 2016? What are they trying to say? Is it like the ex who smashes all the dishes in the kitchen when her husband tries to leave? I won’t be ignored, DONALD.

What’s the point of it? To what end now? Of what use was the rule?

The voices of the unheard? More like the side that had everything.

Aging hippies get out of the house. Film at 11.

I’m glad they did nothing useful other than astroturfed pre-scripted media. And their supporters (about 6 people/groups) spent $300 million to have this party. 7 million, they say, showed up. $42 per ‘protestor’? Rent-a-Mob would have been cheaper.

Glad nobody was hurt in some ‘false flag’ operation. It was a nothingburger. A smelly one at that.

Meanwhile, we are gathering new voters in VA, PA, NJ, etc.

I support the First Amendment and our rights to free speech and free assembly.

So who is acting more like a king? Pres. Trump who is trying to MAGA or upChuck Tumor ... I mean Chuck Schumer who is engaging in black mail by shutting the country down until it submits to his demands to increase the US debt by another $1.5 trillion?

I cannot believe that the crazier fringes of these fringe groups won’t follow up with violence. Trump should be extra vigilant.

Meanwhile.... back at the DOGE... these protest facilitators, organizers, orchestrators and funders still remain anonymous and free as the vultures that they are. Why is that, exactly? It’s not like the Trump admin doesn’t or shouldn’t know, by now, who they are and where to find them.

Arrest them ‘all’ for insurrection against the duly elected government... just like the rats arrested all those J-6ers... even the ones that weren’t even at the Capitol that day. Fair is fair and the rats set that precedent.

Or until the radical leftist Democrats, our enemy within, succeeds in their ongoing Cloward-Piven-style collapse of the US economy, on behalf of their comrades... our enemy without.

The GOP needs to inform and educate the US public on how that attempt has played out and how it negatively affects each and every one of us. The ‘people’ have remained ignorant and dumbed down long enough.

Quite the contrary…this was the most staged, curated, and (presumably) financed “protest” I ever saw.

I drove down a street where these “protesters” were lined up for at least a half of a mile. On both sides of the street, carefully standing on sidewalks and public property, these “protesters” were waving American flags, holding “hand-made” signs, and behaving themselves.

It took a LONG time to drive down this street. There were so many people that if one of them fell forward, it’d be tragic. Hence it was bumper to bumper.

As I looked around, it wasn’t just old cat ladies and aging hippies. It was a sea of younger people punctuated with Boomers. By the way, almost everyone was white.

Later I saw reporting and interviews where at least one person said they were paid to protest.

Since the road where the protest was held had almost no retail businesses that were open, I wondered…”where are they going to the bathroom?” I still don’t know, but

Now it makes sense: these were cosplaying protesters who prolly made $40 and got a box lunch, were handed signs made by slave labor, and were bussed in from elsewhere. As mewzilla pointed out, “these roadside demonstrations…Are those an attempt to get around permits, if any are required?”

Yup.

Re: "No Kings"

Why are these people angry at Martin Luther King?

Sounds racist to me.

Grandma and grandpa supplement their SS by being paid protesters.

I graduated from high school in 1972, so I recognize the mindset of these aged protestors. They were the ones that called me a sellout and baby killer, as I was guilty of accepting an Army ROTC scholarship. It’s the same high school that produced Rachel Maddow, nothing more needs to be said.

I get that.

The boomers in the curated event I saw were in the vast minority.

Drag lotsa $40 bills and a free sandwiches thru a white suburban enclave, hand them a sign that looks hand-made, and voila! Insta-crowd.

The Left can have all these old, dried-up hippies. We long-time conservatives are being joined at fast rate by the youth of this country (thank you Charlie Kirk and Scot Presler).

The few thinkers on the Left know their movement is in trouble and explains why they are fighting so hard to import and recruit Third World 'voters' to their cause.

Organizers flipped the scrip - Antifa dressed up in cute children’s costumes. American flags to be waved, not burned. “Diversity” totally missing from the AstroTurf protests...where were the angry blacks and rainbow flags?

Lucky for democrats the press is in their pocket and will happily ‘forget’ the past many decades of violent protests.
