If that sounds like a nightmare to you, then you’ll realize that it’s no coincidence that the AI updates are being rolled out when they are. Microsoft is making Windows 10 users walk the plank so they can fall into an inescapable pit of AI — where, once trapped, they’re presumably supposed to give up and let the tech dominate their user experience.

Never needed MS support and the updates caused more problems than fixes.

I liked Win 7 also. Everything after was garbage. I went from Win 7 to Linux Mint. Mint is well... Almost Win 7.

If AI shows it’s face to me, I will tell it to shut up. It’s a nice toy to play with but I don’t want it on all the time.

This week, Microsoft is launching a suite of artificial intelligence features that basically turns existing Windows 11 systems into full-blown “AI PCs” which are controlled by Copilot, the company’s AI assistant.

This is what I did, but my bet it is still there transmitting my every move to Microsoft.

I have a laptop and a desktop with CPUs that aren’t Windows 11 compatible. Both are now running Fedora 43. I have Win 11 hardware running already.

Well, the time has come. I will move to Linux and run older Windows version in a virtual machine.

You can install windows 11 on almost anything , download the ISO and burn it with Rufus and Rufus will remove the things that stop it from installing on older computers but you have to do a Clean Install
