Thank you very much and God bless you.

I thought I'd post this to point out that the Western narrative of Russia collapsing because of strikes on refineries is anti-empirical. Prices jumped around the start of the year, but that was many months before the recent refinery strikes. And if you expand out to 10 years you can see prices are only modestly higher than in general from the 2015-2021 timeframe (from around ~0.65 to ~0.77 now).

Basically if you think gas prices are a sign of serious collapse, it's California that you should be panicking about.

Isn’t it petrol in Russia, not gas?

Kremlin uses a “damper” payment, a tax subsidy to gas suppliers to make it profitable to sell to the domestic market and to make the price stable.

You need to check the wholesale prices to get a better snapshot of what is happening. In some places in Russia, the retail price is actually lower than wholesale. The resulting problem is shortages, rather than high retail prices (even though they are still elevated in 2025).

Russia is also dumping more and more raw on the global market since they no longer have sufficient refining capacity. That is causing the price of crude to drift lower and lower this year. Now it is almost as low as it was during the Tariff Terror days.

That reminds me of the jump in gas prices during the Carter years in America.

I guess anything that does not portray people from the U.S. as ignorant is stupid?

Paid 2.26 yesterday at sheets, kali gas prices are its own fault and compare avg Russian wage to avg US wages and gas prices in Russia are proportionally much higher and higher than when war started, plus no gas lines or limits on purchase.

But the usuals will say “nothing to see here”

Do they average in the gas stations who post 0.00 prices since they have no gas to sell?

I remember those Carter year gas lines. One weekend I saw long lines at the gas station across the street, so I made a bunch of sandwiches and sold them all to hungry gas customers. Had a good think going until they started having cars come for gas according to the odd or even number of their driver’s license. I wonder if the Russians have thought of that plan?

Basic, basic, basic economics says that if there were really significant shortages, prices would be spiking way up where fuel was available. At some point people really need to grasp that the same media that lied to them about COVID, Russia collusion, Biden’s mental state and an endless host of other things for several decades, are also delusional and lying about Russia.

Lol. What refining capacity?:) That Desert Storm way of thinking ruined the understanding of warfare. Do you really consider that those drone strikes can cause a serious damage to a refinery? Whatever price hikes in Russia you see is mainly a result of USD collapsing against Ruble.
