The South Atlantic Anomaly has been there since the earliest days of satellites.
It changed reliable attenuation of incoming charged particles and satellites passing through would have their memory damaged.
This has not changed. Still happens. But if that situation is growing, satellite lifetime is going to shrink

There’s a magnetic pole flip that is due any century now. It should cause a lot of extinctions, mutations, and general havoc. It’s been said that the magnetic field is only about half what it was in ancient Roman times. The sun flips its magnetic poles every 11 years, but earth’s cycle is more chaotic and takes thousands.

Would it have any effect on 31/Atlas’ course? Serious question from someone who knows absolutely nothing about this sort of thing. Would this growing anomaly affect comets, meteorites, satellites? Do rocket people have to figure in an offset?
