A Los Angeles restaurant has been thrown into turmoil after an influencer launched serious accusations insinuating that they segregate Asian customers in one seating section.
Cassidy Cho was dining at the Great White in Melrose, California, on September 27, when she claimed she noticed that she and all other guests who appeared to be Asian were seated in one secluded area of the restaurant.
Cho posted a now-viral TikTok video detailing her experience at the establishment and showed that all the Asian customers were seated in the building's corner.
'I don't know if it's just me, but they put all Asians in one corner... everybody is white in the main seating area.'
She added that if the next party seated in the corner were Asian, her theory would be correct. Cho flashed the camera over to the newest guest, confirming they were.
After the TikToker left the restaurant, she shared that she thinks they might be putting all the Asians in one corner because 'they're embarrassed of us.'
The eatery, which originates in Australia, have vehemently denied the accusations - brushing them off as bogus speculation which has derailed their business.
Other customers who claimed to have visited the restaurant chimed into Cho's story, saying that they were allegedly also placed in the same area of the building.
'My boyfriend is Korean and they put us in the corner both times we went, oh my god, maybe you're onto something,' one wrote.
A second added: 'I am a person of color - I've been to this restaurant one time and will never go back because of that reason.'

We have a long standing Dim Sum restaurant in Louisville. On a week end the majority of the patrons are Asian.
There are two chalk boards with menus and prices. One in English and one in Chinese. You should hear the white lefties in town whine that proves whities are getting charged more.
It is so funny. Truthfully, I hope that is the case. They deserve it.
“I worked with a lot of Asians and generally found them to be capable employees, often some of the best. Personality wise, the Japanese tended to be fun-loving and the Chinese clannish and a bit superior. The Vietnamese and Filipinos were more like the Japanese. Of course, there were exceptions to the rule in all cases.”
I love the Japanese. The Chinese? I have found to be complete a$$holes. Yes you are correct the Vietnamese and Filipinos are like the Japanese and fun loving people.
You think he would be happier seated in the Black section?
Oh Louisville. Okay it used to be called “India Palace” and it was on Shelbyville Road. but the changed the name. I loved their food and used to eat there every time I came to Louisville but it’s been decades since I have.
hahahahah
If SHE is the most promising one....
When I am out of town, and want good Chinese food, I always check if there are a bunch of old Asian guys outside, smoking cigs. THAT means authentic !
That's an interesting slant.
Same here. And don’t forget the Koreans.
Two of the best bosses / managers I ever had were Japanese-American. Another was Pakistani. OTOH, one of the worst was also Pakistani. It’s just humanity.
Or there was only one server?
I see what you did there.
This stuff has to stop. Was the food good, or, not? THAT is the only thing that people should be interested in learning. Some stupid guy is going to marry her some day. He is going to learn a VERY difficult lesson.
I hate it when Chinese restaurant menus are printed too small. It makes me squint really hard while trying to read them.
Seriously though, it’s an instinctual human tendency to seat oneself where others are more similar than different. Most people would be unaware of it unless you pointed it out.
On the other hand the last few years have seen a trend toward self-segregation by certain groups in circumstances where they can get away with it...graduations foremost. Makes me wish Martin Luther King would return and start kicking asses.
You sure about that Fiji? You see any black or brown bears up there?
Sigh.
Girl-boss fatigue.
I guarantee you that those folks seated themselves. I personally would have chosen those seats too because I enjoy outdoor dining.
I lived in England for several years and their are many great Indian restaurants there and some not so great. If it was a restaurant that I was not familiar with I would look in the window. If a lot of Indians were eating their I knew it was good. I did not give a damn where they seated me and in reality did not notice.
Oddly the same here in the United States.
“Some people have to always have a grievance.”
They’ve always got to find something to be butthurt about to add meaning to their dull lives. Chardonnay, The View and caring for cats probably gets really boring after time.
She going to sue the band that made ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’ as well?
