Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I’ve written
Never meaning to send
RIP, John.
Denny Laine decided to join a band being created by a bassist and his wife.
I heard this new 3-piece band got a record deal but had to go to Africa for a recording studio...not sure what happened to that upstart band after that nightmare.
Thanks to my parents, I grew up on the Moody Blues. I even got to see them in concert. And I still regularly listen through their discography because it’s just that awesome to go through from start to ... ok, until the mid-1990s. Recently they became woke, and that tarnished my enjoyment, but their early albums were absolutely perfect expressions of musicality. Or, as Christopher Walken might say, they had an absolutely perfect amount of cowbell for their band.
I’m saddened for the end of an era and for Lodge’s family’s loss. Music has lost a great.
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey and yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion
Third time this has been reported here.
