I've noticed this being claimed, but I'm not convinced it's true. Yet. If the Democrats are crushed in the midterms next year, I'll believe it, but right now I have friends who will vote Democrat come hell or high water.

i used to tell my children that killing, in itself is not inherently bad. there are good reasons for killing, such as:

1. if you are going to eat something
2. if you are defending yourself of someone else

these are to preserve and protect life and while not pleasant (killing is not, and something else must die for us to live) they are Good.

Bad reasons to kill, such as;
1. you disagree with someone
2. you want something someone else has

destroy life, civilization, and are bad reasons for killing. this is a definition of Evil.
