I’m no expert here. But I’m pretty sure this device will contribute to Climate Change. So I’m going to apply for a UN grant to study the matter further.

Nice. I wonder how well it works as a tool for tattoos.

Lasers produce monochromatic light. (One wavelength, no overtones.) A diffraction grating cannot separate that into separate colors. There is more to this story.

Why do they feel the need to make everything gay nowadays?
Gay lasers? Check.

This sounds like the breakthrough we need for mini single chip 8k short throw laser projectors.
Not so sure that Datacenters will be using this anytime soon, I have all the latests pre-production samples of everything that will be shipping in a few years from all the major mfgrs and it is pretty hard to saturate even the standard 100gbE Mellanox cards, let alone the 400gbE ones.
For example, currently Microsoft is only using 2port 100gbE in their cool custom Azure blade servers.
something like this will probably require pcie 12 which has not even been considered yet

The only thing I can think of, right off the bat, is that they’ve created a filter that is so small it will disperse. So this is “laser” light without the specific Nobel gasses.
Which would be great.
But then my inner cynic also says that the author knows nothing of what they were told and published a garbage article for the paycheck. Occums Razor.
