This disabled military veteran was completely confused when police officers showed up at his home one evening, telling him they wanted him to step outside and talk. When he wisely said no, even though they had no warrant, the officers then barged into his home in front of his entire family, handcuffing him, threatening to tase him, and throwing him to the ground, injuring him in front of his shocked family. Then these cops realized that, oops, they were at the wrong person’s house.
Why? They were looking for a shoplifter who allegedly stole $150 worth of shrimp from a Winn Dixie who was not him, and who didn’t even match his description. That’s bad enough. But the most shocking thing about it is that an entire group of police officers thought they were entitled to just barge in a guy’s home without a warrant? Every government employee from top to bottom responsible for this must be held accountable.

Its more common than you think. It starts when they jam their foot in the door. Then they tell you the warrant is in the car. Then they come back night after night.
You see the tattoos on that cop? Not a very tight ship in Seminole county..
Never open the door to cops.
If they have a warrant, they will come in.
Maybe marginally less evil than KeirStasi’s police state ... for now.
This is a good indicator of law enforcement policies there. Many places don’t even pursue thefts of over $1K. This county considers $150 worth chasing down. That’s the mark of a hardworking police department and prosecutorial staff. Easier to ignore crime while collecting paychecks.
lol
And then say “Oops, our bad, we’re good now, right?”
Sounds like status quo for cops these days.
Qualified immunity will protect them, but the taxpayers will pay big time.
The FBI did a SWAT raid on an old woman here on the Big Island for the crime of selling non-Kona coffee as the real thing.
Complete with flash bangs to terrorize the family.
I heard a dog barking in the background. They are luck that the dog wasn’t shot.
Thank you.
Don’t sue. Spend weeks tracking where they live. Apology accepted.
The cop's arms were covered with tattoos, just like MS-13 or Tren de Aragua gangbangers. That seems to be the case with a lot of the cops involved in stories like this.
When the police show up. I don’t care where you are, you lock the door if not videoing begin do not step out side do not answer questions. Ask for names and badge numbers, business cards, ask for warrants to be physically given to you or placed in a window that you may read them. If you think the police at your door are not acting correctly or legally call the state police if city police call the local sheriff’s department hell even the FBI. If you feel threatened call for help. Get a recording made to the dispatch center stay on that line.
Bad cops are like roaches they will run from harsh light.
Conversely if a warrant is produced and it looks correct read it any way. Make sure you know where and what is being looked for. The police may look in your garage for a stolen elephant but not in your sock drawer or the 4 by 4 shed in your back yard.
Use number security codes for your phones and other devices the courts have ruled that the police, like taking finger prints can use your finger print to open your phone.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
Is your state a stop and ID one? Know what a Terry stop is know what Rodriguez v. United States means
Extending a routine traffic stop to conduct a dog sniff is unconstitutional as an unreasonable seizure under the ...
It all up to you.
NOTE: I am not a lawyer tho I was taught by a former city police office turned, sheriff’s deputy, turned FBI agent and college drop in practicing attorney at law. If you are dealing with law enforcement and you have even a small feeling that something may reflect on you.
Do not talk to the police and if you are very afraid grab your chest and say you are having a heart atack and when the ambulance gets you to the hospital call 976 lawyer.
This cop hater is the worst person on YouTube.
Jackboot licker.
Well, ya. You dont expect them to eat a warm recovered shrimp cocktail? Those things are expensive!
“rare”
Don’t know you have a basis for that assertion.
It may be that it was not all that rare before required bodycams. (maybe an unwarranted assumption on my part, but of course depends on def of ‘rare’)
As such it may also be unwarranted to assume that LEOs pivted on a dime with the advent of home security and driver cam evidence and now such bad behavior is “rare”.
