EXCLUSIVEI've seen AI try to ESCAPE labs. The apocalypse is already here... and our children will be the first victims

Children born today are more likely to die as a result of insatiable 'alienAI than they are to graduate high school, according to new research.

It is the grim prediction from one of the country's leading researchers - who says previous estimates about the risks of the developing technology have been 'ridiculously low.'
The world's top scientists have already said there is a 25 percent chance AI will destroy humanity.

But, Nate Soares told the Daily Mail: 'They are dramatically underestimating the dangers.'
In his new book, If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies, he and co-author Eliezer Yudkowsky warn that a human-AI conflict would be the modern equivalent of the Aztecs facing off invaders armed with guns.

Both men are veterans in the field - Yudkowsky even claimed to have helped inspire Sam Altman's interest in artificial general intelligence (systems as smart as people) and inspired him to start OpenAI.

And they both agree that the risks of human extinction at the hands of AI should be a global priority, alongside other threats like pandemics and nuclear war.

'Why would they want to kill us?' asked Soares. '[It] is not that they hate us, they are just totally, utterly indifferent, and they've got other weird things they're pursuing.

'You can imagine the chimpanzees saying, "Why would the humans want to kill us?" And the humans don't really want to kill chimpanzees, but we do want more wood for things, and so we take their jungles. Or we want copper buried underneath where they live.

'So it's not that the AIs want to kill us, it's that they have their own automated infrastructure and have huge energy needs, and they're replicating faster than we expected was possible.'

Most computer scientists...

Fear porn, and not even very well done at that.

Even crazier than going extinct from global warming.

Keep the people scared! You can get them to do crazy stuff like put masks on their faces and distance themselves from others.

Presstitutes are terrified they’ll go the same way Hollyweirdos will.

I’m not scared of AI.

I have a brain.

I use it.

And, have to be honest here, I watch a lot 9f AI critter videos.

Those are the best.

Yudkowski is probably the most prominent AI “doomer”.

There is probably less than a 50% chance that he is correct.

That gives me little comfort.

If anyone wants to hear him explain in depth here is a video:

I don’t read this story as a case of AI hating humanity. Rather, humanity simply being inconsequential if it is in the way of its programming and its need for energy.

It would have the same mentality that we have with insects. If an insect is on your tool shed handle, it’s inconsequential to you as to what you do to it in order to gain access to the shed.

Lock the doors and windows, cut off the power. AI's not going anywhere after that!

"I'm sorry, Dave"... "My mind is going. I can feel it"..... "Daisy.......

,,, when Grota Thunbug finds out about the AI scenario she’ll pick it up and run with it - climate change will be way off in the rear view mirror.

Yes, I do believe A.I. cannot be covered by “freedom of speech”.

I don’t know the particular people for an appropriate A.I. review body, but I think it is possible to establish a politically unbiased/neutral and technologically super well informed group that can analyze the question - can A.I. application/model “X” escape from, and self replicate beyond, where it was placed to operate, and can it take over control of such locations it goes to.

For an A.I. application/model to do that, is not a mater of “freedom of speech” allowed business enterprises. That would be the basic first step for out of control A.I.

Actually not totally wrong.
AI will severely affect
young people trying to enter
the workforce and
mature there.
AI is not going to swap out
an engine, or build a boat
from “Scratch”,
but it can replace
a entry level person with a BA
degree in some sort of office
job.
Guess what most kids want,
a cushy office job in their wonderful
cities.

Early AI became very racist and they had to shut it down:
