Hundreds of Anti-ICE Activists Attend Training in Oakland on 'Concrete Tactics' to 'Resist' Trump Agenda
RedState ^ | 10/6/2025 | Mike Miller

Posted on 10/06/2025 9:36:20 AM PDT by Signalman

Most of us are familiar with the various tactics and strategies of the left — including congressional Democrats — in opposition to virtually everything related to President Donald Trump.

Whether it be Trump's legislative proposals, executive orders, or presently at the top of the list, sending ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents and National Guard troops to out-of-control Democrat-run cities to forcibly remove illegal aliens and/or quell rampant violent crime, radical leftists remain hellbent on stopping the Trump administration at every turn.

In Oakland, CA, on Sunday, hundreds of TDS-riddled radical activists attended a "training session" designed to teach "concrete tactics" that protesters could employ to better "resist" Trump and his no-nonsense administration.

Before we continue with the story at hand, let's first (re)visit the definition of "insurrection."

As you'll recall, Congressional Democrats and their sock puppets in the media ridiculously described the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot as an "insurrection." They continue to do so. Please.

By its simplest definition, "insurrection" can be defined as "a violent uprising against an authority or a government," while Britannica describes the term, thusly: "an organized and usually violent act of revolt or rebellion against an established government or governing authority of a nation-state or other political entity."

So here's the salient point:

While January 6 was a fired-up protest that got out of control, the violent actions of anti-ICE, pro-illegal alien zealots aided and abetted by Democrat governors and mayors, are clearly — in my not-so-humble opinion, demonstrable acts of insurrection — per definition.

Back to the 'Training Session' As reported by the (left-wing rag) San Francisco Chronicle, on Sunday:

Bay Resistance, a social justice nonprofit created during the first Trump administration, organized the Sunday event, which included a series of training sessions to teach people how to protect one another amid the threat of mass deportations and a possible National Guard deployment in San Francisco or Oakland.

During a morning session, organizers discussed the rise of authoritarianism, strategies used by successful antiauthoritarian movements around the globe, and noncooperation tactics, such as economic and corporate boycotts, labor strikes and transportation blockades.

Bay Resistance organizers said they have already launched several campaigns, including a Tesla Takedown, a push to prevent ICE from opening a detention facility at the former federal women’s prison in Dublin, and a volunteer effort to protect day laborers at spots where they congregate for work.

In preparation for a potential National Guard deployment or Immigration and Customs Enforcement escalation in the Bay Area, organizers said they would quickly mobilize people for a mass display of unity at San Francisco’s Embarcadero Plaza. They also called on people to hold vigils at their local libraries at 5 p.m. the day after such an announcement.

Uh-huh. We've seen all too many times how radical-leftist "vigils" turn out, haven't we? Yep, they're right up there with the left's infamous "peaceful protests."

Jane Martin, an organizer with Bay Resistance, said of the "training":

We see Trump making all these threats against the Bay Area and sanctuary cities across the country. [The training was structured to] give people concrete skills that they could use to show up and stand in solidarity and be there for their communities.”

"Be there for their communities." That's rich.

Their communities, Ms. Martin, have been terrified by violent local crime, and illegal alien crime, while state and city governments stand idly by and allow the you-know-what to go down — even when ICE agents are under assault.

In related news, an Oregon District Court judge has issued a second temporary restraining order in response to the Trump administration's deployment of National Guard troops to once-vibrant Portland.

I know — try to control your shock and amazement.

“Jane Martin, an organizer with Bay Resistance”

Lots of overlap between Bay Resistance, SF DSA, FRSO/Liberation Road (the group behind Black Lives Matter) and their front San Francisco Rising Alliance, and a group called Seed the Vote, which has roots going back to SDS and the Bay area terrorist groups that emerged from it. Karen Bass came out of the same background (-> Line of March).

* * *

https://keywiki.org/Jane_Martin_(San_Francisco)

Jane Martin has been a community organizer in the Bay Area since 2001 working with low-income people of color fighting for transit justice, affordable housing, and workers’ rights.

Jane served as the director for the successful campaign to win free Muni passes for low-income youth in San Francisco. In her role as political director at POWER (now Causa Justa/Just Cause) she collaborated with the SF MTA and SF Bike Coalition to conduct policy outreach and workshops with bike riders in Bayview-Hunters Point on bicycle safety improvements as well drafting transportation equity policy for the city. Jane has also worked directly with the Bike Coalition, helping coordinate SFBC volunteers on political campaigns.

Jane is on the executive board of Jobs with Justice San Francisco and has served on the organization’s committee for over four years. She served on the board of San Francisco Pride at Work for over six years. She has years of experience doing grant reporting, grant writing, and throwing creative grassroots fundraising events.

In 2010 she won the Bay Guardian Local Hero award for her work championing LGBT and worker rights. Biking is Jane’s primary mode of transportation. She is passionate about climate change, transportation justice and grassroots democracy.[1]. . .

Standing for AD 17
In 2019 Jane Martin stood from AD 17 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.

Vjdsaqwertyjgf.JPG
I am running as a member of the Reform Democrats for Labor and Equity slate. To face the current political crisis we need a progressive Democratic Party that fights for both racial and economic justice. Our resistance must be grounded in a bold, progressive vision that includes single payer healthcare, free higher education, the green new deal, stronger rent control, and access to good union jobs. One job should be enough for anyone to afford to live here and raise a family.
I am a queer woman who has been organizing and fighting alongside low-income workers in the Bay Area for the past 18 years. I am a long-time board member of Jobs with Justice, and I’ve worked for various unions and community organizations in the Mission, Bayview and Bernal Heights. When low-income youth were being harassed and ticketed on their way to school, I was the lead organizer of the successful grassroots campaign to win free Muni passes for youth. When Sutter Heath planned to eliminate the only charity care hospital in the southeastern part of the city, I organized with nurses and seniors to save St. Luke’s. I have consistently driven labor to fight for stronger protections for low wage workers and tenants.
I am currently the political coordinator for SEIU-USWW, the union representing janitors, security guards, and airport workers in California. I worked with our members to pass California’s sanctuary workplace law and protections for janitors against rape on the night shift. Our movement for progressive reform within the Democratic Party needs to be driven by low income people of color who are organizing on the front lines every day, facing increasing immigration enforcement, and the rising tide of racism and inequality. Si se puede![2]

Anti-Trump

Mabel Tsang wrote :Tomorrow I will be heading to DC with a #ItTakesRoots to Grow Resistance Delegation convened by Grassroots Global Justice Alliance / Climate Justice Alliance / Indigenous Environmental Network / Right To The City Alliance because I believe we can create an alternative to Trump’s Terror. He stands for racist violence; aggression against women; criminalizing queer, gender non-conforming and transfolks; and detention of and war against immigrants and refugees - in the name of our future and our values.

I believe the alternative exists today. I believe it already exists in my organizing work at Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN) and I believe it exists in our dreams for our collective future. This moment scares me and this moment emboldens me. This moment shows me the need and the proof for powerful actions and bold experimentation. It calls on all of us to act.

Oakland is a Black=dominated city. Lilly white for most of its history, with WWII, and the need for workers in bases at Alameda, Oakland and Mare Island, thousands of Blacks invaded California. Not finding housing in high end San Francisco, nearby Piedmont, or San Leandro, they settled in East Oakland in the Castlemont sector of the city, and north in cheap housing near Richmond, El Cerrito and Albany. They found work, married, and multplied. And as they multiplied the Whites moved out. By 1952 Oakland had an all Black McClymonds High School (home of Vada Pinson, Frank Robinson and Bill Russel). Blacks leaving the south for a more convivial climate continued to arrive. Again, San Francisco and the Peninsula were more expensive, and the Black community continued to expand in Oakland. The Oakland A’s ballpark was built on the far margin of town in the expecttion it would continue to attract White paying customers. As time would tell, that didn’t work out. The A’s remained in Oakland despite the fact that it was a miserble business proposition. The Oakland death knell really began when the Black majority began to vote its people into power. Today, Oakland is a miserable crime ridden place. Its schools, judged by stuent academic performance, are failed shells where wall-splashed grafitti passes for excellence in the English language. Oakland’s once great working hospitals that were situated on ‘Pill Hill’ are now but a memory of what was once a great city. Gone. Gone. All gone.

The FBI needs to put on as many of these as they can. Why? Simple, get as many of these criminals to register as possible and now we know who we’re dealing with. Set the whole thing up as if it’s a thing these America haters want to attend and then start it off with Trump videos while Lee Greenwoods song “Proud to be an American” plays. Watch them scurry and film it all.

Oakland, CA has been ground zero for the DNC attack machine since ‘07.
BLM, SEIU, Antifa, ELF all had operations setup there.
Holder was working just across the bay in SF running them all.
