A few years ago when we took a road trip from Texas to CA, there were billboards on both sides of I-10 advertising abortion mills starting at the Texas/New Mexico border. We just took the same road trip again a few weeks ago. All of the abortion advertising billboards were gone. I guess enough people complained to the billboard companies about the tasteless, vile advertising.

It’s ironic that those in the abortion business would tell women that they own their bodies, when their entire business model depends on women giving them control. Women who are in control of their bodies don’t have abortions.

The abortion ban is working. Prior to 2022, 50 to 60 thousand women aborted their babies every year in Texas. Last year, 7,000 women traveled out of state to get abortions. That tells me that tens of thousands of women have discovered that they CAN be responsible.

That poster showing a ploy to attract “abortion tourists” to California (and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer pushes Michigan for the same thing) still triggers my anger.

While saying she doesn’t specifically mean Michigan is benefiting from abortion tourism financially, she said indirectly the abortion friendly state will gain in economic development by its stance.
